Journal of Paramedic and Emergency Health Services

The Journal of Paramedic and Emergency Health Services (JOPEHS), aims to include internationally recognized publications that aim to contribute to science by synthesizing information in the fields of paramedic education, extraordinary situations, emergency health services coverage, emergency nursing, forensic medicine, occupational health and safety, occupational risks, legal dimension in the field with information in other fields.The Editorial Board of "Journal of Paramedic and Emergency Health Services (JOPEHS)," is generated from 7 different universities and 25 faculty members of 5 different countries. 

JOPEHS provides instant open access to content in the fields of  Emergency aid, disaster management, occupational health, public health, emergency medicine, emergency medical services, first aid, emergency nursing, health care managementwith, adopting the principle that free delivery of information to the field will enhance the global sharing of information. 

Copyright form; In scientific articles sent to the Journal of Paramedic and Emergency Health Services, ICMJE (International Committee of Medical Journal Editors) recommendations and COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) International Standards for Editors and Authors should be taken into consideration.
1. Articles should be prepared in ".docx .doc" format in A4 size and their length should not exceed 20 pages in journal format.
2. 2. Page layout; Top: 3 cm, Bottom: 2.5 cm, Left: 2.5 cm and Right: 2.5 cm, and the page should be divided by a line lengthwise.
3. Articles should be typed in 12 font size and 1.5 line spacing with "Times New Roman" character. In my writing, there should be a break of one character after commas and periods.
4. Paragraphs should be indented 0.5 cm at the beginning, and 6 nk space should be left before and after the paragraph. Additional blank lines should not be left between paragraphs.
5. The first page of the article should include Turkish and English titles in 14 pt. 10 pt. Turkish and English abstract with a minimum of 120 and a maximum of 250 words, and a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 Turkish and English keywords.
6. Main titles and sub-headings of the article should be written in bold and centered, all the letters of the main titles should be capitalized, and only the initials of the subtitles should be capitalized. No space should be left after the title.
7. All tables, figures and graphics in the article should be displayed in the appropriate places in the text, numbered consecutively, left justified. Each table, figure or chart should be given a title. Hood; It should be placed on the table, figure or graph, left justified, only the initials of the words are capitalized and in 10 pt. Text in tables, figures and graphics should be between 8-10 points.
8. Studies should be submitted as article file and title file. Author and institution information should not be included in the article file, whereas the title file should include the research title, author names, author contact information, author institutions, responsible author information and the authors' ORCID number.
9. Articles must include a statement that the Research and Publication Ethics are complied with.
10. In studies requiring ethics committee approval, information about the permission (name of the board, date and number) should be included in the method section and also on the first / last page of the article. In case reports, the information that the informed consent / consent form was signed should be included in the article.


For manuscripts;
It should be in the form of Abstract, Introduction, Material-Method, Findings, Discussion, Conclusion and Suggestions, Acknowledgment (Optional), References.


Abstract;

It should be placed under the title at the top of the page.
Introduction;

• General information on the subject should be included.
• Background information can be provided. (historical developments leading to research)
• It should be explained which gap the study will fill in the literature.
• National and international studies should be included.
• Purpose of the study, the most important part (last sentence in the last paragraph).

Material Method;
• Explain exactly how the work was done.
• It should be designed to answer the research question.
• The most important part of the article is to be explained in sufficient detail and clearly so that another researcher can use the study using a different group of participants.
• Used to evaluate the validity and reliability of the study.
• Specify the study design, eg. a retrospective cohort study.
• The universe of the study and how the sample size was chosen,
Sampling selection method,
Inclusion criteria in your study,
• Exclusion criteria,
• Where and when the study was conducted,
• The dependent and independent variables of the study,
• Explain which data will be analyzed using which statistics, tests and statistical program.
• List all ethics committees that approve the study.

Results;
• First, demographic findings should be included.
• Size of analysis and statistical significance of results should be reported => point estimate, confidence interval and p values should be reported.
• The results stated in the Methods section should be reported.

Discussion;
• About eight to ten paragraphs.
• The first paragraph should be a general statement about the study.
• Results can be interpreted,
• Each paragraph is about four to six sentences; first, it is a topic of interest to the study. The remaining sentences support the first sentence or the comparison of results from similar studies, emphasizing similarities or differences.
• The second last paragraph may suggest more research or a change in current practice.
• The last paragraph should have study restrictions.

Conclusion and Recommendations;
• It should summarize the study and no additional information should be added.
• Two to three sentences are normally sufficient to summarize the work.
• The result should not contain references.

Thank;
• Participants in the study, for example; staff who completed a survey.

In-text and Bibliography citation will be made according to APA 6 !!!!

Authors' Responsibilities
The author (s) have not submitted their work to be published in the Journal of Paramedic and Emergency Health Services;
1. The study titled is original, ethical rules are followed in the planning, execution and reporting of the study, and the responsibilities for all ethical and usage violations that may arise regarding the content belong to the author (s),
2. It was prepared by the author (s) and does not violate the intellectual property rights of other persons or institutions, all figures included in the study were produced by the author (s), the usage rights were purchased or attributed with permission,
3. They do not simultaneously send to another journal for evaluation,
4. Previously unpublished; If the abstract or a paper with no full text, only a summary of which is printed, a thesis or work derived from a project, the necessary explanation is written on the full text
5. With the corrections deemed necessary by the referee and the editor, we have transferred all our publishing rights to the "Journal of Development and Psychology (GPD) if the study is accepted for publication,
6. They accept and declare that they have an obligation to inform the editor of the journal, to forward and execute the request for correction or withdrawal, in case they notice any errors or deficiencies in the published, early appearance or evaluation stage.

Ethical Responsibilities of Referees
1. The referees are responsible for not evaluating the article in case of conflict of interest and relationship.
2. The referees are responsible for evaluating the article by paying attention to the principles of confidentiality and impartiality.
3. The referees cannot use the work sent to them for any purpose until the evaluation process is completed and published.
4. While evaluating the article, the referees are responsible for not allowing the gender, nationality, religious beliefs, and political views of the authors to affect the evaluation.
5. Referees should use polite and constructive language while evaluating the article. Avoid comments and expressions that include insulting, libelous and hostile.

6. Referees are responsible for evaluating the article in a timely manner and paying attention to ethical rules.

Protection of personal data
Editor; It is obliged to protect the personal data of both authors, referees and readers and to ensure the protection of personal data regarding the data or images included in the evaluated studies. It fulfills the obligation to ensure the protection of personal data by revising or refusing the work, unless there is a document that documents the explicit consent of the article sample, the copyright or consent of the images.

Quality assurance
The referees appointed in line with the opinions of the editor and the editorial and advisory board are responsible for publishing every article published in the journal in accordance with the journal's Ethical Principles and Publication Policy.
