EXAMINATION AND CONTEMPORARY INTERPRETATION OF JOHANN SEBASTIAN BACH'S SONATA "BWV 1017 C MINOR-HARPSICHORD

Abstract

How Baroque music should be played today and whether the baroque period affects today's music styles is still a matter of discussion. Particularly the understanding of J.S.Bach Violin’s work as a romantic period piece, and the vibrato technique, which is used excessively, tells the opposite musical expression in the work. Of course, the interpretation of a piece is relative and it is vital for everyone, especially famous musicians, to occur with their own musical expression and play it the way they want. However, before interpreting a Baroque work, it should be done by examining the period features of that work and taking into account the style, expression and archeology techniques of that period as much as we can. The analysis of Bach, who is a great composer with the most disagreement about the interpretation of his works, is very important in these respects. In this article, it is aimed to examine J.S.Bach's C minor Violin-Harpsichord Sonata in terms of form and musicality and to have the performers have information about the correct interpretation of the piece. JOHANN SEBASTIAN BACH’IN “BWV 1017 DO MİNÖR KEMAN-HARPSICHORD SONATI’’NIN İNCELENMESİ ve YORUMLANMASI

Abstract

Günümüzde Barok müziğin nasıl çalınması gerektiği ve Barok Dönem’in günümüz müzik tarzlarını etkileyip etkilemediği halen tartışılan bir konudur. Özellikle J.S.Bach’ın keman eserlerine bakıldığında adeta bir Romantik Dönem eseriymişcesine yorumlanırken gereğinden fazla yapılan vibrato tekniği, eserde tam tersi bir müzikal ifadeyi ortaya çıkarmaktadır. Tabi ki bir eseri yorumlama konusu çok göreceli olup herkesin özellikle ünlü müzisyenlerin kendilerine ait müzikal ifadeyi göstermeleri ve kendi istedikleri şekilde çalmaları önemli bir konudur. Eserlerinin yorumlanması konusunda en fazla görüş ayrılığının yaşandığı büyük bir besteci olan Bach’ın günümüzde yorumlanması bu açılardan oldukça önemlidir. Bir Barok eserini yorumlamadan önce, o eserin dönem özellikleri incelenerek yorumlama oldukça önemlidir. Bu çalışma nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmış olup, J.S.Bach’ın Do minör Keman –Harpsichord Sonatı ele alınarak, form ve müzikal açıdan incelenmiştir. Bu çalışmada, Bach’ın bu sonatı ile barok yapıdan uzaklaşarak Klasik Dönem bestecilerine öncü olduğu yenilikçi yapı ortaya konulmuş ve icracıların eser hakkında doğru yorumlama konusunda bilgi sahibi olması hedeflenmiştir.
