OTOSANSÜR EĞİLİMİ ÖLÇEĞİ’NİN TÜRKÇE VERSİYONU: YAPI GEÇERLİLİĞİNE İLİŞKİN İLK BULGULAR

Abstract

Bu araştırmada Hayes ve arkadaşları (2005a) tarafından geliştirilmiş olan Otosansür
Eğilimi Ölçeğinin (OSE) (Willingness to Self-Censor– WTSC) Türkçe versiyonunun psikometrik
özellikleri incelenmiştir. Ölçeğin yapı geçerliliğini test etmek amacıyla
bireylerin otosansür eğilimleri ile ilişkili ancak ondan bağımsız bir özellik
olduğu düşünülen benlik saygısı kavramı da çalışmaya dâhil edilmiştir. Ölçekler
566 üniversite öğrencisine uygulanmıştır. Öncelikle sadece OSE ölçeğinin faktör
yapısı teyit edici faktör analizi ile test edilmiştir. Sonuçlar ölçeğin tek
faktörlü yapısını desteklemiştir. Ölçekte yer alan ters yönlü iki madde
arasındaki korelasyonun çok yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir. Otosansür eğilimi
kavramının benlik saygısı kavramı ile farkını ve ilişkisini incelemek üzere iki
ölçeği birden içeren ölçüm modeli teyit edici faktör analizi ile test
edilmiştir. Otosansür eğilimi ile benlik saygısı arasında ters yönlü ve
istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur. Ölçekte yer alan ters
yönlü maddelerin ölçeğin yapı geçerliliği ve güvenilirliği üzerindeki olumsuz
etkileri tartışılmış ve ileride yapılacak çalışmalara yönelik önerilerde
bulunulmuştur.
