Abstract

Türkiye'de, ilköğretime başlayan çocukların % 19'unda, 11 yaş grubunun % 77'sinde kalıcı diş çürüğü bulunmaktadır. ileri yaş gruplarında diş çürüğü prevalansı % 90'lara çıkmaktadır. Süt dişlerinde, 6-8 yaş grubunda, ortalama 4.5-5 diş çürüğü bulunmakta ve diş çürüğü prevalansı % 80 düzeyini aşmaktadır 1 .
