Schizo-obsessive Disorder

Abstract

Obsessive-compulsive features are common in schizophrenia. Current genetic, neurobiological, clinical and epidemiological data about obsessive-compulsive symptoms/disorder in schizophrenia suppose that schizophrenia combined with obsessive compulsive disorder is more than a mere comorbidity. Epidemiologic and neurobiological evidence suggest that the patients with comorbid obsessive compulsive disorder and schizophrenia may present a special category among patients with schizophrenia. Although a specific profile has not been emerged yet; clinical, neurobiological research about schizo-obsessive patients have been extensively pursued.

Şizo-obsesif Bozukluk

Öz

Şizofrenide obsesif-kompulsif belirtiler yaygın olarak görülmektedir. Şizofrenide görülen obsesif-kompulsif belirtiler/bozukluk hakkındaki güncel genetik, nörobiyolojik, klinik ve epidemiyolojik veriler obsesif kompulsif bozukluk ile birlikte görülen şizofreninin bir komorbiditeden daha fazlası olduğunu, şizofreni hastaları arasında özgül bir grubu temsil ediyor olabileceğini ortaya koymuştur. Henüz bu hastalara özgü bir hastalık profili ortaya konulamadıysa da şizo-obsesif hastalarla ilişkili klinik, nörobiyolojik çalışmalar yaygın olarak yürütülmektedir.
