Rotary wheel, originally designed with the help of Solidworks design program is manufactured from aluminum, acts as a heat exchanger between the indoor air passing inside the rotary wheel and the fresh air passing outside, providing heat transfer between the two airs without mixing. In this study, it is tried to determine the appropriate duct design for the rotary wheel, which is originally designed, and the pressure loss at the duct inlet and duct outlet in case of 2 different duct types (U-shaped duct and flat duct) through FlowVision computational fluid dynamics analysis program. Speed contour, velocity vector and temperature contours are compared to decide the most suitable duct type for this rotary wheel. As a result of the analysis; since the pressure loss between inlet and outlet of the U-shaped channel is high, it is decided that the suitable type of channel for the rotary wheel is the flat-shaped duct. At the same time, experimental results confirm CFD results.
