THE PRESENT AND FUTURE OF SUPPLY CHAIN RESILIENCE: A BIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS

Abstract

The number of studies in the field of supply chain resilience (SCR) has dramatically increased with the emergence of the Covid-19 epidemic. Hence a detailed bibliometric analysis was conducted in this study to systematically enlighten the evolution of the SCR literature. By presenting the body of information that has accumulated in the field of SCR, classifying, and visualizing it according to a set of criteria, and offering a viewpoint for future researchers and professionals, this study aims to fill a significant gap in the literature. It is also anticipated that this study will raise awareness in Turkish literature regarding the need for a systematic accumulation of knowledge for academics and professionals working in the SCR field. In this regard, the research data were obtained from Web of Science (WoS) database where all papers published between the dates of 2007 and 2023 were analyzed regarding certain criteria and a total of 455 papers were deemed appropriate. First, performance analysis was conducted by using multiple bibliometric indicators for the annual number of papers published in the field, key publications, the most prolific authors, significant journals, prominent universities, and countries developing the field. Then, under the framework of scientific field mapping, citation analysis, co-citation analysis, and common word analysis were performed to disclose the intellectual nature of the SCR field and the connection between research elements. The analysis results indicate that the number of publications regarding SCR has significantly increased from 2020 and on. Specifically, studies have focused mostly on topics of knowledge management, supply chain integration, sustainability, business resilience, ripple effect, technological innovation, crisis management, ambidexterity, Industry 4.0, and digital technologies as a result of the Covid-19 epidemic.

TEDARİK ZİNCİRİ DİRENÇLİLİĞİNİN ŞİMDİSİ VE SONRASI: BİR BİBLİYOMETRİK ANALİZ

Abstract

Tedarik Zinciri Dirençliliği (TZD) alanında yapılan çalışmaların sayısı Covid-19’la birlikte yoğun bir şekilde artmıştır. Bu yüzden çalışmada, TZD literatürünün gösterdiği gelişimi sistematik bir şekilde ortaya koymak için bibliyometrik analiz kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın TZD alanındaki bilgi birikimini ortaya koyması, bazı kriterler çerçevesinde sınıflandırması ve görselleştirmesi, gelecekteki araştırmacılara ve profesyonellere bir perspektif sunması açısından literatürde önemli bir boşluğu doldurması amaçlanmaktadır. Ayrıca TZD alanında hem akademisyenler hem de profesyoneller için sistematik bir bilgi birikimi sağlaması yönünden Türkçe literatürde bir farkındalık yaratması beklenmektedir. Bu doğrultuda Web of Science (WoS) veri tabanında 2007-2023 yılları arasında taranan 455 makale analiz edilmiştir. İlk olarak çeşitli bibliyometrik göstergeler yardımıyla alanda yayınlanan yıllık makale sayısı, nitelikli makaleler, en üretken yazarlar, nitelikli dergiler, öne çıkan üniversiteler ve alana yön veren ülkeler performans analizine tabi tutularak alanın mevcut genel görünümü ortaya konmuştur. Ardından, TZD alanının entelektüel yönünü ve araştırma unsurları arasındaki bağlantıları ortaya çıkarmak amacıyla bilimsel alan haritalama kapsamında atıf analizi, ortak atıf analizi ve ortak kelime analizi yapılmıştır. Yürütülen analiz sonucunda 2020 yılından bu yana yayın sayısında önemli bir artış olduğu görülmektedir. Özellikle Covid-19’un etkisiyle çalışmaların bilgi yönetimi, tedarik zinciri entegrasyonu, sürdürülebilirlik, kurumsal dirençlilik, dalgalanma etkisi, teknolojik inovasyon, kriz yönetimi, çok yönlülük, Endüstri 4.0 ve dijital teknolojiler gibi konulara odaklandığı tespit edilmiştir.
