Hasta güvenliği kültürü kavramının boyutları ile incelenmesi boyutların hasta güvenliği uygulamalarına etkisinin araştırılması

Year 2020, Volume: 7 Issue: 3, 223 - 230, 28.09.2020

Abstract

Year 2020, Volume: 7 Issue: 3, 223 - 230, 28.09.2020

Abstract

Introduction and Objective: To provide safe and high quality patient care, patient safety culture must be improved in the health sector. In this review, in order to better understand the concept of patient safety culture, it is aimed to examine the dimensions in detail and to investigate the effect of dimensions on patient safety practices.Material and Method: In the review, patient safety culture dimensions; It has been examined under ten titles Teamwork within units, Management expectations, Teamwork across units and management support, Organizational learning, Overall perceptions of safety, Feedback and communication openness about error, Frequency of events reported, Staffing, Handoffs and transitions, Nonpunitive response to errors. In addition, detailed nursing literature review of these dimensions was done and the effect of dimensions on patient safety was discussed in detail. Conclusion: In order for patient safety practices to be more successful, the concept of patient safety culture must be understood very well. For this, patient safety culture should be handled and analyzed. This review will provide detailed information to nurses and managers to improve patient safety culture in healthcare institutions.
