Abstract

Erken dönemde teşekkül eden ilk disiplinlerden biri olan nahiv ilmi, Halîl b. Ahmed el-Ferâhîdî ve öğrencisi Sîbeveyhi’nin çalışmaları sayesinde sistematik bir sürece girmiştir. Bu süreçte Sîbeveyhi tarafından telif edilen el-Kitâb, nahiv alanında kendisine başvurulan en önemli kaynaklardan kabul edilmiştir. el-Kitâb, sadece nahiv kurallarını belirlemekle kalmamış, aynı zamanda sonraki nahiv çalışmalarında belirleyici rol oynamıştır. Buradan hareketle bu çalışmada, Sîbeveyhi’nin ve el-Kitâb’ın nahivdeki öncü rolüne vurgu yapan Nahvin Öncülerinden Sîbeveyh isimli eser değerlendirilmiştir. Eser, Sîbeveyhi’nin hayatını ve el-Kitâb’ı çeşitli kaynaklar çerçevesinde ele almıştır. Yazar, eserin birçok yerinde el-Kitâb’ın üslubunu, muhtevasını ve Sîbeveyhi’nin ölçme değerlendirme yöntemini, birincil kaynaklardan örnekler vererek teorik ve pratik boyutta açıklamıştır. Çalışmada yazarın söz konusu konuları işleyiş biçimi üzerinde durulmuş, eserin alana sağladığı katkıya dikkat çekilmiştir. Bunun yanında eserle ilgili bazı önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

Sîbawayh, one of the pioneers of Naḥw (Ali Bulut)

Abstract

The science of naḥw (syntax), one of the first disciplines formed in the early period, was founded by Khalīl Ibn Aħmad al-Farāhīdī and his student Sībawayh, it has entered the process of systematization scientifically. Al-Kitâb, which was written by Sībawayh in this period, was accepted from the most important sources in the field of syntax. The work has not only determined the syntax rules. At the same time, it has played a decisive role in the recent syntax studies. From this point of view, in this study, the work named Sībawayh, one of the Pioneers of Naḥw, which emphasizes the leading role of Sībawayh and al-Kitâb in syntax, has been evaluated. The work examines Sībawayh's life and al-Kitâb within the framework of classical and modern sources. In many parts of the work, the author has explained the style and content of al-Kitâb and Sībawayh's measurement and evaluation method in theoretical and practical terms by giving examples from al-Kitâb. In this study, the author's way of handling the aforementioned subjects is emphasized and attention is drawn to the contribution of the work to the field. In addition, some suggestions were made for the evaluated work.
