The Journal of Oriental Scientific Research (JOSR) is a peer-reviewed open access journal that is regularly scanned in international field indexes and published in electronic format every six months. The journal is published twice a year, in June and December.

The Journal of Oriental Studies is indexed by a number of academic databases, including Index Copernicus International (ICI), International Scientific Indexing (ISI), SOBIAD, ISAM, DRJI, ASOS, INFOBASE, SIS, ESJI, ResearchBib, MIAR, Idealonline, SAIF, as well as ULAKBIM TR INDEX and INDEX ISLAMICUS, EBSCO and ERIHPLUS databases.
The manuscripts are initially evaluated by the editor and editorial board in terms of scientific expression and adherence to spelling rules. Please click here for further information regarding the spelling rules. Following the editorial review, a plagiarism scan is conducted. Manuscripts that are deemed appropriate are then sent to three reviwers, who are well-known for their scientific studies in their field. In accordance with the recommendations of the reviewers, a decision is made regarding the publication of the article, either as is or with the condition of correction. Manuscripts that are deemed unsuitable for publication in line with the recommendations of the reviewers are rejected.

-As of 2023, journal will be published twice a year, in June and December.
-For articles submitted from January 2021 onwards, authors will be requested to include an extended abstract in English between 750 and 1,000 words if the refereeing process is positive.
