Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relatianship among competitive anxiety, success, sports experience and athletic competence on 103 female handba/l players. To measure competitive anxiety SCT (Sport Competition Axiety) was used. Athletic Competence Subscale of Harter Self Perception Profile was used to measure athletic competence. According to Pearson Product Correlation analysis, there was a significant negative coorelation between success and competitive anxiety and there was a positive carre lation between success  and athletic competence (p<.DS). In addition to that, a significant negative cor­ relation was found between competitive anxiety and athletic competence (p<.DS). Ho wever, no significant correlations were found between sports ex­ perience and athletic competence and sports experience and competitive an­xiety.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, yarışma kaygısı, başarı, spor deneyimi ve atletik yeterlilik arasındaki ilişkinin 103 bayan hentbolcü üzerinde araştırılmasıdır. Yarışma kaygısının ölçülmesinde SCAT (Sport Competition Anxiety Test), atletik yeterliliğin ölçülmesinde Harter'in Gençler için Kendini Algılama Envanterinin Atletik Yeterlilik alt ölçeği kullanılmıştır.
