This study examines knowledge economy research between 1998 and 2024 from a bibliometric perspective. The knowledge economy is an economic paradigm that explores the impact of intellectual capital and innovation on economic growth and competitiveness. The study analysed 439 articles collected from the Scopus database. It assessed trends in publication growth over time, the most cited articles, contributions at the levels of authors, institutions, and countries, as well as the impact of journals. Additionally, thematic trends and collaborative networks within the knowledge economy were examined. The results indicate that the knowledge economy, as an international research field, has been shaped by interdisciplinary collaborations, with particular emphasis on themes such as innovation, higher education, sustainable development, and human capital. The study highlights how the COVID-19 pandemic has amplified the importance of digitalization and the knowledge economy. It also suggests that future research should focus more on topics such as knowledge management, human capital, social inequalities, and sustainable development.
