Abstract
It has been seen that each region has own characteristic properties when weaving areas in our country has been investigated. Also Sivas is one of the major weaving center in Anatolia. In Sivas center and almost every district of Sivas it has been encountered absolutely the tracks of weaving form past to the present. Truly Kangal, Şarkışla, Altınyayla (Tonus) districts have been known and researched except Sivas carpet with their names and their charecteristic features in a seperate group of carpets. While the weaving is the subject of research has been mentioned by the name of the district by Tonus in the past, despite the name of the district has been cahnged as Altınyayla today still it has been known as Tonus carpets and rugs. In Altınyayla weaving culture has been based on a very old time. Famous Tonus prayerrug belongs to this region. In the region it has been encountered mostly rug and tülüce. Today in the Mutibey Village weaving is done with the efforts of the public training center. Although there has been infrasturcture in the other villages, this culture seems to be abandoned due to various reasons. In this study, it will be given the present examples of some of the plain weave, examining the culture of weaving in Altınyayla District and Başyayla, Deliilyas, Güzeloğlan, Kale, Kızılhöyük Villages from past to the present.
Abstract
Yapılan araştırmalar, Anadolu’daki her bir yörenin dokumacılık kültürünün, kendine özgü karakteristik özellikler taşıdığını ortaya koymaktadır. Sivas yöresi de Anadolu’nun önemli dokumacılık merkezlerinden birisidir.
Sivas il merkezi ile hemen hemen her ilçesinde geçmişten günümüze kadar gelen dokumacılık izlerine rastlanmaktadır. Fakat Kangal, Şarkışla, Zara, Altınyayla (Tonus) ilçeleri, “Sivas halısı” adının dışında kendi isimleriyle ve karakteristik özellikleriyle tanınarak, ayrı birer halı grubu olarak bilinmekte ve incelenmektedir. Araştırma konusu olan dokumalar, geçmişte “Tonus” olan ilçenin ismiyle tanınmış olup, günümüzde ilçe Altınyayla olarak isim değiştirmesine rağmen, hâlâ “Tonus halı ve kilimleri” olarak anılmaktadır.
Altınyayla’da dokuma çok eski yıllardan beri yapılmaktadır. Ünlü Tonus seccadeleri bu yörede dokunmakta olup, kilim ve tülüce dokumalarına da rastlanmaktadır. Günümüzde ise halk eğitim merkezinin çabaları ile Mutibey köyünde dokuma yapılmaktadır. Diğer köylerde dokuma yapılması için gerekli altyapı olmasına rağmen, çeşitli sebeplerden dolayı bu kültür terkedilmiş görünmektedir.
Bu çalışmada, Altınyayla ilçesi, Başyayla, Deliilyas, Güzeloğlan, Kale, Kızılhöyük köylerinde geçmişten günümüze gelen dokuma kültürü incelenerek, günümüzde halen mevcut olan bazı düz dokuma örnekleri verilecektir.
