SDÜ İFADE Journal uses blind refereeing system. Blind refereeing is a method applied to publish scientific publications with high quality within ethical standards. This method forms the basis of the objective evaluation process of scientific studies and is preferred by many scientific journals.
Articles submitted to SDÜ İFADE Journal are first examined by the editorial board and editors for compliance with the journal's writing principles and sent to two referees who are deemed appropriate. If necessary, the articles may be sent to a third referee deemed appropriate by the editor.
In accordance with the double-blinding method, the identities of the authors and referees are concealed. The editorial board decides on the publication of the manuscripts.
Refereeing Process
1. The preliminary evaluation of the articles submitted to SDÜ İFADE Journal is carried out within 15 days. After the preliminary evaluation, the authors are obliged to complete the changes requested from them within 15 days and upload their work back to the system. Otherwise, the authors know that their work will be returned to them.
2. After the changes requested after the preliminary evaluation are fulfilled, the studies are referred to the editorial board. Necessary information is given to the author in this process.
3. The editorial board evaluates the studies within the framework of editorial responsibility and decides whether to return, reject or accept the studies for evaluation. Then the article processing process is initiated.
4. The manuscripts are submitted to the review of the language editor. If there is no language problem in the manuscript, the field editors forward the manuscript to at least two referees.
5. Considering the conflict of interest situation, care is taken not to appoint reviewers who are in the same institution as the author or who have previously worked with the author. The principle of diversity and impartiality is observed in referee assignments.
6. People who are experts in the literature of the article are appointed as referees. The referees are expected to evaluate the articles with a competent approach and in accordance with the referee responsibilities.
7. If both of the referee reports received in line with the blind refereeing system are positive, the article is prepared for publication. If one of the referees gives a positive and one negative evaluation, the article is sent to a third referee. If the third referee's evaluation report is favourable, the study can be published with the approval of the editorial board. If the third referee's evaluation report is negative, the article is not included in the publication process.
8. After the referee evaluation reports are completed, the article is sent back to the author for correction. The maximum time for the authors to make the requested changes is 15 days. The articles that the referees want to see again are sent to the referees again after the necessary arrangements made by the author.
9. After all necessary changes are made following the referee reports, the article is sent for final reading with the approval of the editor. After the final reading process is completed, the articles whose layout processes are completed pass to the publication stage.
10. The final decision on the publication of the article belongs to the editorial board. The author is informed by a decision letter containing referee reports and editorial evaluation.
11. The studies are completed within 3 months and published in the June or December issue determined by the editorial board.
