HISTORICAL DEVELOPMENT OF BUSINESS CYCLES

Year 2018, Volume: 23 Issue: Geybulla Ramazanoğlu Özel Sayısı, 845 - 865, 30.06.2018

Abstract

The concept of business cycles that have begun to develop with the Industrial Revolution in the economic literature is a phenomenon that is supposed to be integrated with the system, which must be the nature of the capitalist system and the accumulation of capital that comes with it. The fluctuations experienced as a result of economic activities such as increases in capital stocks and developments in financial markets after the Revolution were described as the development of the capitalist system and the expense for the growth of the country's economy..
Discussions on the causes of cyclical fluctuations have been fed from different sources before and after Keynes. For this reason, theories on the subject have been developed which contain other elements without attributing capitalism alone.
In this study, the theoretical framework and the historical process of business cycles are discussed with the viewpoints of different schools of economics.

KONJONKTÜREL DALGALANMALARIN TARİHSEL GELİŞİMİ

Year 2018, Volume: 23 Issue: Geybulla Ramazanoğlu Özel Sayısı, 845 - 865, 30.06.2018
