Türk Dişhekimlerinin Endodontik Tedavi Prosedürlerindeki Yaklaşımlarının İncelenmesi

Abstract

Amaç Bu
çalışmanın amacı Türk diş hekimlerinin endodontik tedavi prosedürlerindeki
yaklaşımlarını ve demografik özelliklerinin bu yaklaşımlardaki etkilerini
incelemekti.



Materyal-Metot Anket
soruları çeşitli sosyal platformları
üzerinden diş hekimlerine gönderilmiştir. İlk bölümde diş hekimlerinin
demografik özellikleri sorulmuştur. İkinci bölümde kanal tedavisi, kanal
yenileme, endikasyon, kök kanal alet kırığı, rubberdam, eğe, antibiyotik ve
irrigasyon ajan kullanımı gibi birçok farklı konuda diş hekimlerine sorular
sorulmuştur. İstatistiksel analiz için tanımlayıcı istatistikler, Pearson'ın χ2
ve bağımsız örneklem t testi uygulanmıştır.



Bulgular Ankete 392 diş hekimi katılmıştır. Kanal
tedavisi yapma açısından demografik özellikler arasında fark yokken
(p>0,05), erkekler ve özel klinikte çalışanlar anlamlı miktarda daha fazla retreatment
tedavisi yaptığını belirtmiştir (p<0,05). Özel kliniklerde çalışan katılımcılar
kamudakilere göre daha fazla rubberdam kullandığını belirtirken (p<0,05),
cinsiyet ve tecrübe açısından anlamlı farklılık bulunamamıştır (p>0,05).
Daha az deneyimli diş hekimleri kanal girişinde ilk olarak K tipi eğeyi anlamlı
miktarda daha fazla tercih etmiştir  (p<0,05).
Alet kırığı olduğunda daha deneyimli diş hekimleri anlamlı miktarda daha fazla
hastayı bilgilendirdiğini belirtmiştir (p<0,05), fakat diğer demografik
özellikler açısından fark bulunamamıştır (p>0,05).  Kadın hekimler anlamlı miktarda daha fazla
hastaları endodontiste sevk etme ihtiyacı duyduğunu belirtmiştir (p<0,05).



Sonuç Türk diş
hekimlerinin kanal tedavisine yaklaşımlarının diğer ülkelerdeki verilerle
tutarlı olduğu görülmektedir. Alet kırığı vakalarında hastaların
bilgilendirilmemesi ve çok az düzeyde rubberdam kullanılması en önemli
eksikliklerdendir. Bilgi ve uygulamalardaki bir takım eksikliklerin giderilmesi
için ise üniversitelerdeki eğitim düzeyi ve diş hekimlerinin kamudaki çalışma
şartlarının daha fazla iyileştirilmesi gerekmektedir.
