Özet

Anne sütü en az ilk 4-6 ay boyunca bebeğin gelişiminde gerekli olan biyolojik ve psikolojik tüm gereksinimlerini karşılar. Emzirme sadece bebeğin beslenmesi değil, ruhsal gelişimi açısından da önemlidir.

Bu çalışma 3 Mart-27 Haziran 1997 tarihleri arasında Balıkesir İl Merkezi 6 No'lu Sağlık Ocağı Bölgesinde ev ziyaretleri yapılarak ve 266 anne ile görüşülüp anket formu doldurtularak yapılmış, veriler bilgisayarda EPİ5 yazılımı ile değerlendirilmiştir.

Araştırma grubunun yüzde 85.5'i bebeğini emzirdiğini belirtmektedir. Eğitim düzeyi yükseldikçe bebeğini emziren ve emzirme konusunda bilgi alan anne oranı artmaktadır. Kadının ve çocuğun sağlığı açısından anne sütü ve emzirmenin önemi düşünüldüğünde bu oranın artması, eğitimin önemini ortaya koymaktadır.

Bebeğin büyüme ve gelişmesini izlemede sağlık ocağı ve sağlık personeline başvuran anneler yüzde 59.3'tür. Sağlık personelinin amacı yalnız çocuk sahibi kadınların değil doğurgan yaştaki bütün kadınların sağlık ocaklarına gelmelerini ve sağlık personeli ile etkili bir iletişim kurmalarını sağlamak olmalıdır.

Bebeğini üç ay ve daha az emzirdiğini belirten anne oranı yüzde 19.9'dur. çalışmalarımız bu sürenin an az 4-6 ay olmasını sağlamak üzere planlanmalıdır.

Bebeğe ilk verilecek gıdayı şekerli su olarak belirtenler yüzde 19.9 'dur. Bebek beslenmesindeki bu tür yanlış inanışların olumsuz etkileri düşünüldüğünde bu konunun üzerinde önemle durulması gerekmektedir.

Abstract



The Investigation of the Knowledge About Breast Feeding in Village Clinic # 6, in Balıkesir

During the first 4-6 months, mother's milk meets all the basic needs of an infant, both biological and psychological. Process of breast feeding is important not only to feeding but to the psychological development of the infant.

This study was conducted between march 3-june 27, 1997. During this study, 266 mothers interviewed through questionnaire, and the data evaluated on the computer by EPİ 5 software.

The 85.5 % of the mothers state that they suckle the babies. As the level of education increases the rate of mothers who breastfeed their babies and who gather information on breastfeeding increases too. Cosidering the importance of breast feeding to both the mothers and the infant's health, an increase in this rate emphasizes the importance of education.

59.3 % of the mothers ask for help to monitor their baby's development and growth. The health staff must aim to encourage not only those with babies but also all the women who can deliver a baby, to come to the nursing home and ask for help.

Those who suckles their babies for three months or less makes 19.9 % of the mothers.

19.9 % of the mothers say that, the first nutrient to be given to babies is water with sugar. Cosidering the negative effects of such wrong ideas in baby feeding, this problem must be dealt with top priority.
