Abstract
The aim of the present study was to investigate rootstock and variety effects on mineral
nutrition of apple trees. For this purpose, leaf and fruit samples were collected from Lutz Golden,
Skyline Supreme, Mondial Gala and Granny Smith cultivars grafted on M9, M26, MM106 and
MM111 rootstocks that were grown under same conditions and were analyzed for N, P, K, Ca, Mg,
Fe, Zn, Cu and Mn. Results showed that there were significant differences among rootstocks and
cultivars thus it is necessary to consider rootstock- scion interactions when mineral nutrition of apple
trees is recommended. It is found that Lutz Golden cultivar grafted on MM106 rootstock and Granny
Smith cultivar grafted on M9 rootstock benefited highest and lowest from nutrients, respectively.
Among the rootstocks, MM106 had the highest nutrient content M9 had the lowest and M26 and
MM111 had intermediate nutrient content. Among the varieties Mondial Gala had the highest nutrient
uptake, and it was followed by Skyline Supreme, Lutz Golden and Granny Smith.
Abstract
Bu araştırmada, elmanın yaprak ve meyve besin elementi içeriği üzerine anaç ve çeşit etkisini
incelemek amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla aynı koşullarda yetişen M9, M26, MM106 ve MM111 anaçları
üzerine aşılanmış Lutz Golden, Skyline Supreme, Mondial Gala ve Granny Smith elma çeşitlerinden
alınan yaprak ve meyve örneklerinde N, P, K, Ca, Mg, Fe, Zn, Cu ve Mn analizleri yapılmıştır.
Yapılan analiz sonuçlarına göre yaprak ve meyve besin elementleri açısından anaç ve çeşitler arasında
önemli farklılıkların olduğu ve yapılacak besleme programlarında buna dikkat edilmesinin gerektiği
ortaya konmuştur. Besin elementlerinin genelinden MM106 anacı üzerine aşılı Lutz Golden çeşidinin
en fazla, buna karşılık M9 anacı üzerine Granny Smith çeşidinin en az düzeyde yararlandığı
belirlenmiştir. Anaçlar arasında MM106 anacı en yüksek, M9 anacı en düşük, M26 ve MM111
anaçlarının ise bu değerler arasında besin elementleri içermektedir. Çeşitlerde ise bitki besin
maddesinden en fazla yararlanan çeşit Mondial Gala olurken, bu sonucu sırasıyla Skyline Supreme,
Lutz Golden ve Granny Smith çeşitleri izlemiştir.
