Okul Müdürlerinin Narsist Liderlik Davranışlarının Öğretmenlerin Örgütsel Muhalefet Etme Algıları Üzerindeki Etkisi

Öz

Bu araştırmada okul müdürlerinin narsist liderlik davranışlarının öğretmenlerin örgütsel muhalefet algıları üzerindeki etkisi araştırılmaktadır. İlişkisel tarama modeliyle gerçekleştirilen bu çalışmanın evrenini, Batman ili merkezinde bulunan ilkokul, ortaokul ve liselerde görev yapan 5996 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Basit seçkisiz random (rastgele) yönteminin kullanılması sonucunda çalışmanın örneklemini 425 öğretmen oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın verileri ‘Algılanan Narsist Liderlik Ölçeği’, ‘Örgütsel Muhalefet Ölçeği’ ve kişiler bilgilerin de bulunduğu bir form aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Araştırmada betimsel istatistikler, bağımsız örneklem t testi, ANOVA testi, korelasyon ve regresyon analizleri SPSS 24 veri analiz programı kullanılarak hesaplanmıştır. Yapılan araştırma sonucu okul müdürlerinin narsist liderlik davranışları ile öğretmenlerin örgütsel muhalefet etme düzeylerine ilişkin algıları “orta düzeyde” olduğu saptanmıştır. Korelasyon analizi sonucunda okul müdürlerinin narsist liderlik davranışları ile öğretmenlerin örgütsel muhalefet etme algıları arasında anlamlı, pozitif yönde ve orta düzeyde bir ilişki bulunmuştur. Yapılan regresyon analizi sonucunda ise okul müdürlerinin narsist liderlik davranışlarının öğretmenlerin örgütsel muhalefet etme algıları üzerinde anlamlı bir etkisinin olduğu belirlenmiştir. Genel olarak narsist liderlik davranışlarının örgütsel muhalefet etmeye ait varyansın %24'ünü açıkladığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Araştırmada, sonuçlara dayalı olarak bazı öneriler yer almaktadır.

The Effect of Narcissistic Leadership Behaviors of School Principals on Teachers' Perceptions of Organizational Dissent

Abstract

In the study, narcissistic leadership behaviors of school principals and teachers' organizational dissent levels were examined. The study was conducted using the relational survey model. The population of the study consists of 5996 teacher working in primary, middle, and high schools in the central district of Batman province. As a result of using the simple random method, the sample of the study consisted of 425 teachers. The data were collected through the “Narcissistic Leadership Scale,” the “Organizational Dissent Scale,” and a form containing personal information. In the study, descriptive statistics, independent sample t test, ANOVA test, correlation and regression analyses were calculated using SPSS 24 data analysis program. As a result of the research, it was determined that school principals ' narcissistic leadership behaviors and teachers' perceptions of organizational dissent were at intermediate level. As a result of the research, significant differences were found with some independent variables, while no significant differences were found with some variables. As a result of the correlation analysis, a positive and moderate relationship was found between school principals' narcissistic leadership behaviors and teachers' perceptions of organizational dissent. As a result of the regression analysis, it was determined that the narcissistic leadership behaviors of school administrators had a significant effect on teachers' perceptions of organizational dissent. In general, it was concluded that narcissistic leadership behaviors explained 24% of the variance in organizational dissent. The study includes some recommendations based on the results.
