FEUD IN RURAL TURKEY
Abstract
Feuds depending on collective revenge are among ancient characteristic traits of primitive or underdeveloped societies. In rural sections of Turkey the tradition still lingers in some remote places, despite diminishing tendencies towards the course of modernization. It has been realized that tsychological and sociological considerations seem to co-work within this perpetuity.
