Human reality is neither asocial nor apolitical. Love certainly requires a beloved one, but affection may extend to many. Fried considers everything first as "concept" then as "action". For him, a love poem may be committed, but it should not reveal its commitment. Fried is a poet of political enlightenment, but also a sage, a "poeta doctus," as his shart lave poems, which are written in simple language and unders~andable style, unfolds. The apalitical lave poems of his speak aut for his virtue of respansibility that extends ta invalve lave as well. We observe that he always prefers to feel respansibility without ever paying attention to the fact that it brings unhappiness.
