Abstract
One of the
oldest museums of Konya, Konya Archeological Museum embraces a wide range of collection
secured by both its vicinities and the hinterlands of Anatolia. Within this
collection Catalhoyuk findings, Ikonium Necropole and the sarchographuses which
are attained from nearby districts and pertain to Roman Empire and Late Archaic
Periods appear to be of relatively reasonable importance. The marble sculptures
obtained during the excavations of Archaic Savatra (modern Yağlıbayat)
contribute great value to the collections of the museum. The Heracles figurine
which constitutes the subject of the present study was found in the Archaic
City of Savatra taking part in the south of Yağlıbayat village which is at a
distance of 12 km.
to the 58th km. of Konya-Aksaray highway with a location in its
south. After making the definition of the evaluated work, it has been compared
with other works in iconography and the dating has been done. The production
properties and technical details indicate that the figurine should be dated
back to the first mid of the 2nd century B.C. The figurine must be the product
of a West Anatolian workshop.

Abstract
yere sahiptir. Konya yakınlarındaki Savatra (modern Yağlıbayat) antik kenti
kazılarında ortaya çıkartılan mermer heykeltıraşlık ürünleri müze koleksiyonuna
büyük bir değer katmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın konusunu oluşturan Herakles
heykelciği, Konya-Aksaray modern karayolunun 58. kilometresinden, 12 kilometre güneyde
yer alan Yağlıbayat Köyü’nün hemen doğusundaki antik Savatra kentinde (ἐν Σοάτροις)
bulunmuştur. Değerlendirilen eserin tanımı yapıldıktan sonra aynı
ikonografideki diğer eserlerle karşılaştırılarak tarihlendirme yapılmıştır.
Üretim özellikleri ve teknik detayları heykelciğin MS 2 yy’ın ilk yarısına
tarihlendirilmesi gerektiğini göstermektedir. Heykelcik Batı Anadolu kökenli
bir atölyenin ürünü olmalıdır.
