Bir Türk popülasyonunda kanin dişlerin kök morfolojisinin konik ışınlı bilgisayarlı tomografi çalışması

Abstract

Amaç: Bu
çalışmanın amacı, bir Türk popülasyonunda konik ışınlı bilgisayarlı tomografi
(KIBT) görüntülerini kullanarak maksiller ve mandibular kanin dişlerinin kök ve
kanal morfolojilerini araştırmak ve tespit etmektir.

Gereç ve Yöntemler: Bu
çalışmada, ortalama yaşları 14 ila 75 arasında değişen 410 kişinin (206 kadın
ve 204 erkek) toplam 1640 KIBT (820 maksiller kanin ve 820 mandibular kanin)
görüntüsü analiz edildi. Kök kanal morfolojisi Vertucci'nin sınıflaması
kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Cinsiyete göre morfoloji dağılımlarının
karşılaştırılmasında ki-kare testi kullanılmıştır.

Bulgular: Tüm
maksiller kanin dişler tek köklüydü (n = 820, % 100). Mandibular kaninlerin
çoğu tek köklüydü (% 97.8); sadece % 2.2'sinde iki kök vardı. Bu çalışmada,
mandibular kaninlerdeki kanal morfolojileri sırasıyla Tip I (% 90.6), Tip II (%
2.6), Tip III (% 3.7), Tip IV (% 0.7) ve Tip V (% 2.4) olarak belirlenmiştir.
Maksiller kaninlerde, Tip I % 99.9, Tip II % 0.5, Tip III % 0.5 oranında tespit
edildi. Kanal morfolojisi ve kök sayıları açısından cinsiyetler arasında
anlamlı bir fark bulunmadı (p>0.05).

Sonuç: Türk
popülasyonunda maksiller ve mandibular kanin dişlerde en sık görülen kanal
morfolojisi Tip 1 idi. Tip 5, iki kanallı dişin en sık görülen kanal
morfolojisi idi. İki köklü ve iki kanallı bir kanin dişin morfolojisin detaylı
incelenmesiyle, köklerin aşırı madde kayıpları veya perforasyonu önlenebilir.
