Dental malformasyonlu bir grup olgunun KIBT ile değerlendirilmesi: Pilot çalışma

Abstract

Amaç: Dental malformasyonlar, dişlerin sayı, şekil, erüpsiyon ve morfolojik
olarak normalden sapmasıdır. Dişlerde görülen bu dental malformasyonların
teşhisi genellikle rutin klinik ve radyolojik incelemeyle yapılmaktadır. Bu
çalışma, Marmara Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi’nde çeşitli nedenlerle
konik ışınlı bilgisayarlı tomografileri (KIBT) bulunan olgularda dental
malformasyon görülme sıklığının değerlendirilmesi amacı ile
gerçekleştirilmiştir. 

Gereç ve Yöntemler: Ağız, Diş ve Çene Radyolojisi Anabilim Dalı'na başvuran 250 olgu
dental malformasyon varlığı açısından retrospektif olarak KIBT ile
değerlendirilmiştir.

Bulgular: Bu çalışmada yaş ortalaması 30.4 olan 250 olgunun KIBT görüntüleri
incelenmiştir. 43 olguda % 17.2 oranında sürnümerer diş (SD) bulgulanmıştır.
Kadınların % 13.9’unda, erkeklerin %21.2’sinde SD bulunmakta olup, aralarında
istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık saptanmamıştır (p>0.05). Tüm
olguların % 6.4’ünde odontom, 1 olguda geminasyon, 1 olgunun 4 adet dişinde
pulpa taşı saptanmıştır. 

Sonuç: Dental malformasyonların teşhisi, tedavi planlaması bakımından önemlidir.
Bu malformasyonların detaylı klinik muayene sonrası endikasyonu dahilinde KIBT
ile değerlendirilmesi tanı ve tedavi planlaması bakımından hekime yol gösterici
olacaktır.
