Effects on Yield and Some Yield Components of Boron Application in Cickpea (Cicer Arietinum L. ) Varieties

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effects of boron doses on yield and some yield components of chickpea va-rieties under dry condition on the field of “The Research Institute of Rural Affairs”, in place Karaaslan in Konya, in 2001. The experiment was designed according to “Spilit plots on Randomized Complete Block” with three replications. The varieties was put into place (Gökçe, Menemen 92, İzmir 92, Local Population), to main plots of land and the boron doses (Control, 0.1 kg B/da, 0.3 kg B/da, 0.6 kg B/da) were put into place to sub plots of land, respectively. In this research, as average of varieties, the highest grain yield per plant (5. 03 g) was obtained from which applicated plots in 0.1 kg.da-1; as average of boron doses, the highest grain yield per plant (5.00 g) was obtained from Gökçe variety. The effects of different boron doses on the grain yield per plant number of pods, height of plant, yield of stem and crude pro-tein ratio is important as statistical. But, the effect of them on the number of grain in pod, number of branch and weight of thousand grains was not found significant.
