Residual Effects of Some Organic and Mineral Fertilisers on Wheat Yield in Sugar Beet-Wheat Rotation

Abstract

This investigation was carried out under field conditions and designed as randomised complete blocks with four replica-tions and at three different locations. On wheat yield, residual effects of chicken manure compost (CMC), urban waste compost (UWC), leonardite (L), humic-fulvic acid (HFA), ammonium nitrate (AN), triple super phosphate (TSP) and potassium sul-phate (PS) were investigated. Three different doses of N, P2O5 and K2O (8-4-5 kg da-1 (NPK1), 16-8-10 kg da-1 (NPK2) and 24-12-15 kg da-1 (NPK3), CMC (CMC1, CMC2 and CMC3) and UWC (UWC1, UWC2 and UWC3) at rates of 1, 2 and 3 ton da-1, and L (L1, L2 and L3) at rates of 20, 40 ve 80 kg da-1and HFA (HFA1, HFA2 and HFA3) at rates of 5, 10 ve 20 kg da-1 were studied. Furthermore, NPK1 was applied all of the plots added organic fertilisers. At the first year of experiment, sugar beet was grown in all of the plots. Wheat plant was grown at the same plots after sugar beet harvesting. The results showed that mineral and organic fertilizers significantly affected the yield of wheat. In the first, second and third years, the highest yields of wheat were obtained from the application of CMC3, CMC1 and CMC3 as 34.545, 3.750 and 3.867 ton ha-1, respec-tively.
