Effects of Increasing Doses of TKI-Humas and Phosphorous to the Growth of Dry Beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L.)

Abstract

The aim of this experiment was to determine effects of increasing levels of TKI-Humas (liquid, 12 % humic and fulvic acid, % 5 organic matter and pH= 11) and phosphorous (DAP: 18 % N, 46 % P2O5) application on the yield and quality of Goynuk 98 beans type grown under field condition at Konya sugar’s factory experimental field at Cumra. The experiment was conducted by randomized complete block design in factorial arrangements with three replications to this effects 0 (control), 4, 8, 12 L da-1 of liquid TKI-Humas and 0 (control), 5, 7.5, 10 kg da-1 P205 was applied to the soil before sowing using DAP as a source of phosphorus. According to the research results, application of TKI-Humas with phosphorous doses increased yield, protein and plant phosphorous content as comparaed to the control. Application of both TKI-Humas and phosphorus in-creased yield and plant phosphorus content to a statistically significant level. Application of TKI-Humas based on the average of phosphorus application has increased yield between 15 to 50 % as compared to control (87.1 kg da-1). Again application of phosphorous based on the average TKI-Humas application has increased beans yield between 10 to 19 % as compared to the control (95.0 kg da-1). As a result application of 12 L da-1 from TKI-Humas with 5 kg da-1 of phosphorous can be recommended due to the fact that it increased yield and plant nutrient and was also economic.
