Effects on Agricultural Characters of Application of Amino Acids in Kınalı Bean Cultivar

Abstract

This research was made in Altınekin Town Konya City to determine effect of amino acid applications on some agricultural characteristics of Kınalı bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) during 2015 vegetation period. Field trial was set up according to “Randomized Blocks Design” by three replicates. As material, Kınalı bean variety was used. Trade mark “Amino total” was used as amino acid (AA) fertilizer by five doses; 0 (control), 150 cc da-1, 300 cc da-1, 600 cc da-1, 900 cc da-1and 1200 cc da-1, respectively. Analysis of variance showed that all the investigated characteristics were significant among the amino acid applications. Following values were detected; 60.67 (AA1 dose) - 89.33 cm (AA4 dose) for plant height, 19.00 (Control) - 30.00 (AA2 dose) total/plant for number of pod, 3.70 (AA2 and AA3 dose) - 4.53 (AA5 dose) for number of seed per pod, 71.00 (Control) - 110.97 (AA2 dose) for number of seed per plant, 34.29 (Control) - 40.26 g (AA5 dose) for one hundred seeds weight, 278.49 (Control) - 444.60 kg da-1 (AA2 dose) for seed yield, 23.25 % (Control) - 24.49 (AA5 dose) for protein ratio and 64.71 (Control) - 107.04 kg da-1 (AA2 dose) for protein yield, respectively. Results of the study implicated that amino acid applications had positive effects on seed yield and some agricultural characteristics of bean. In particular, application of amino acid-base of protein increased the protein ratio significantly. Therefore, 300 cc application dose of amino acid may enhance the seed yield and protein ratio.
