A New Disease in Turkey Vineyards: Botryosphaeriaceae Canker

Abstract

In recent years, shoot dieback, bud necrosis, leaf spots, vascular discoloration of wood and local or whole drying symptoms have dramatically increased in Turkey vineyards. It has been revealed from the standard mycological analysis that most of the causal agents were belong to the Botryosphaeriaceae fungi. Up to date, at least 21 species of this family have been reported as major pathogens of grapevine worldwide and 4 species were recorded first time in this year in Turkey. Species of Botryosphaeriaceae fungi have a wide-range of annual or perennial hosts. The species, having a cosmopolitan distribution, are recognized as opportunistic, seconder or latent pathogens. In this review, general information about Botryosphaeriaceae fungi on grapevine is presented.

Türkiye Bağlarında Yeni Bir Hastalık: Botryosphaerıaceae Kangreni

Abstract

Son yıllarda Türkiye bağlarında sürgünlerde geriye ölüm, gözlerde nekrozlaşma, yapraklarda lekelenmeler, odun dokuda renk bozulmaları ve asmada lokal ya da tümden kuruma belirtileri dramatik bir şekilde artmıştır. Standart mikolojik analizlerde, hastalık etmeni organizmalardan çoğunun Botryosphaeriaceae familyasına ait funguslar oldukları ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Bu familyadan bugüne kadar dünya çapında en az 21 türün asmada major patojenlerden olduğu rapor edilmiş olup 4 tür ise ilk kez bu yıl Türkiye’de kaydedilmiştir. Botryosphaeriaceae familyası funguslar tek veya çok yıllık geniş bir konukçu dizisine sahiptirler. Kozmopolit olan bu türler şimdiye kadar fırsatçı, sekonder veya latent patojenler olarak tanınmaktadırlar. Bu derlemede asmadaki Botryosphaeriaceae familyasına ait funguslar hakkında genel bilgiler sunulmaktadır
