Abstract
In this study, the problems which may arise from using Bartlett and Levene tests for the control of variances homogeneity are investigated. The differences in the performance of MINITAB 14 and SPSS 13 software in the Levene test are discussed. In addition, the shortcomings of these software are pointed out in terms of the testing homogeneity of vari-ances and some solution approaches are also suggested.
Abstract
Bu çalışmada, varyansların homojenliğinin sınanması için Bartlett ve Levene testlerinin kullanımında ortaya çıkabilecek problemler incelenmiştir. MINITAB 14 ve SPSS 13 yazılımlarının Levene testinin performasındaki farklılıklar tartışılmıştır. Ek olarak bu yazılımların varyansların homojenliğini test etmedeki zayıf noktalarına işaret edilmiş ve aynı zamanda çözüm yolları önerilmiştir.
