The aim of this study is to examine activities of TARIS Raisins Agricultural Sales Cooperatives Union before and
during restructuring process in general and to explore the developments on the relations between the cooperatives
and the grower members. In collecting data quota sampling method was used in the research area. Before and during
the restructuring process, there have been considareble changes both on the number of coop-members and on the
number of people employed by the cooperatives and affilated plants and warehouses. From 1997/98 to 2001/02 there
has been a 20 % decline in the number of coop-members. In the same era, a 47.7 % reduction have occured in the
number of the staff and workers employed by the Union of Raisins Agricultural Sales Cooperatives and affilated
plants and warehouses. While there has been a decline in the product sale promise by the growers to the cooperatives,
after the year 2000, there has been an increase in the ratio of the product consignments and promises relatively.
In assessing the relations between the cooperatives and the grower members, nearly 90 % of the growers have
declared that the most important reason for being a coop-member is to get access to the inputs they need and to have
a stabile market for their products. However, 39 % of the growers have stated that they have no idea on the deduction
of capital share when they have delivered their products to the cooperatives. In employing personnel in the cooperatives,
the growers prefer to do so by the Management Committee of the Union (59 %), State (14.7 %) and the Directors
of the Local Cooperative Associations (12.6 %) respectively. Additionally, the findings show that the greater
majority of the growers have not participated in a cooperation and/or professional course.
Bu çalismada amaç; TARIS Üzüm Tarim Satis Kooperatifleri Birliginin faaliyetlerini yeniden yapilanma öncesi
ve yapilanma sürecinde olmak üzere genel hatlari ile ele almak ve bunun yani sira kooperatif-ortak iliskilerindeki
gelismeleri ortaya koymaktir. Arastirmada kota örneklemesi yöntemi kullanilmistir. Yeniden yapilanma öncesinde ve
sürecinde yürütülen çalismalar sonucunda gerek kooperatif ortagi ve gerekse birim kooperatif ve bagli is yerlerindeki
personel hareketlerinde çok önemli degismeler ortaya çikmistir. 1997/98 döneminde 27127 olan ortak sayisi
2001/02 dönemine göre 5373 kisi (% 20) azalarak 21754’e düsmüstür. Ayni dönemde personel sayisinda da Üzüm
Tarim Satis Kooperatifleri Birligine bagli isyeri ve birim kooperatiflerde % 47.7 oraninda bir azalma meydana gelmistir.
Ortaklarin ürün taahhütlerinde bir azalmaya karsilik teslimat taahhüt oranlarinda 2000 yilindan sonra nispi
bir artis meydana gelmistir. Ortak-kooperatif iliskileri degerlendirildiginde ise; üreticilerin yaklasik % 90’i kooperatife
ortak olmalarinda en önemli nedenin girdi temini ile ürünlerine alici garantisi bulma ve ürünlerini kolaylikla
satma oldugunu belirtmislerdir. Buna karsilik; üreticilerin kooperatife ürün teslim ettiklerinde yapilan sermaye payi
kesintisi hakkinda yaklasik % 39’unun herhangi bir fikri olmadigi belirlenmistir. Kooperatife personel aliminda,
ortaklarin % 59’u Birlik Yönetim Kurulunun, % 14,7’si devletin, % 12,6’si da birim kooperatif müdürünün karar
vermesini istemektedir. Ayrica arastirma alanindan elde edilen bulgular ortaklarin büyük bir çogunlugunun gerek
kooperatifçilikle ilgili gerekse de mesleki bir kursa katilmadiklarini göstermektedir.
