A THEORETICAL ANALYSIS OVER ORGANIZATIONAL DEPENDENCE RHETORIC IN SELF-DEVOTION - INTEREST DILEMMA

Abstract

Is organizational dependence generally defined as adopting attitude and behaviors which are benefit for the organization in which person works, establishing identity between organization's future and his own future, internalization of organizational values, adopting his objectives, making self-sacrifice for the said objectives and desire of remaining organization member a self-devotion showed by worker for his organization or a interest relation worker shows to organization meeting his psychological and financial needs? The main question to be examined in organization dependence issue is that on which basis these attitudes in favor of organization are discussed, what is "ethic basis" of concepts such as dependence, psychological contract, organizational loyalty, contextual performance, establishing organizational identification? What does it express in terms of working values? Is "the basic motive" behind behaviors of ones showing organizational loyalty a "self-devotion" or "interest" relation emerged from faith for covering the "expectations"? In short, what is practical "value" of organization dependence? In this study, questions stated here will be analyzed within the framework of motivation theories
