“Kavanozdaki Adam” Televizyon Mini Dizisinin Monomit Kuramı Üzerinden Analizi

This study was aimed to analyse the television miniseries Kavanozdaki Adam, which was broadcasted on TRT television channel in 1988, through Christopher Vogler's 12-step model based on Joseph Campbell's monomyth theory. In this study, which was conducted using the narrative analysis method, the drama series Kavanozdaki Adam was selected for this analysis because it is the first example of science fiction in Turkish television history, as well as because it focuses on the identity and transformation processes of its protagonists within the narrative. In order to conduct the study, the plot of all episodes of the series and all characters contributing to the narrative were analyzed. In the analysis process, Semih Şerifoğlu and Kenan Aksal were selected as the main protagonists of the narrative, and both protagonists were evaluated through the stages of the ordinary world, call to adventure, refusal of the call, meeting the mentor, crossing the threshold, test, allies, enemies, approach to the inmost cave, ordeal, the reward, the road back, resurrection, return with the elixir. As a result of the analysis, all stages of the heroes' journeys were presented and it was determined that all stages of the 12-stage model were possible for the transformation processes of both heroes.

Bu çalışma, 1988 yılında TRT ekranlarında yayınlanmış olan Kavanozdaki Adam televizyon dizisinin Joseph Campbell’in monomit kuramı temel alınarak Christopher Vogler tarafından oluşturulan 12 aşamalı model üzerinden çözümlenmesi amacı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Anlatı analizi yöntemi kullanılarak gerçekleştirilen çalışmada Kavanozdaki Adam dizisi, Türk televizyon tarihinde bilimkurgu türünde bir ilk örnek olmasının yanı sıra anlatı içerisinde kahramanlarının kimlik ve dönüşüm süreçlerini merkeze alması nedeniyle bu analiz için seçilmiştir. Çalışmanın yapılabilmesi için dizinin tüm bölümlerinin olay örgüleri ve anlatıya katkı sunan tüm karakterleri incelenmiştir. Çözümleme sürecinde Semih Şerifoğlu ve Kenan Aksal, anlatının ana kahramanları olarak seçilmiş, iki kahraman da sıradan dünya, maceraya çağrı, çağrının reddi, rehberle karşılaşma, ilk eşiğin aşılması, sınavlar, müttefikler, düşmanlar, mağaranın derinliklerine yaklaşma, çile, ödül, dönüş yolu, diriliş, iksirle dönüş aşamaları üzerinden değerlendirilmiştir. Değerlendirme sonucunda kahramanların yolculuklarının tüm aşamaları sunulmuş; her iki kahramanın dönüşüm süreçleri için de 12 aşamalı modelin tüm aşamalarının uygulanabilir olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
