TÜRK ERKEK KANO MİLLİ TAKIMI DURGUNSU KAYAKÇILARININ SOMATOTİP ÖZELLİKLERİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

Bu araştırma yaşları 21.5 ± 2.16 olan 11 büyük erkekler kategorisinde yarışan Türkiye kano milli takımı durgunsu kayak sporcusunun somatotip özelliklerinin belirlenmesi amacıyla gerçekleştirildi. Araştırma grubunun somatotip özelliklerinin belirlenmesinde Heath-Carter metodu, vücut yağ yüzdesinin hesaplanmasında Siri formülü, Siri formülünün uygulanması için gereken vücut yoğunluğu hesaplaması için ise Durnin-Womersley formülü kullanılmıştır. Araştırmadaki istatistiksel değerlendirmeler SPSS paket programında tanımlayıcı istatistik analiz testi kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda Türk erkek kano milli takımı durgunsu kayakçılarının somatotip profili (endomorfi x=2.90 ± 0.86, mezomorfi x= 5.22 ± 1.25, ektomorfi x= 2.20 ± 0.91) Dengeli MEZOMORFİ olarak belirlenmiştir

THE EVALUATION OF SOMATOTYPE PROFILE OF TURKISH NATIONAL MALE FLATWATER KAYAK TEAM PADDLERS

Abstract

Purpose of this study is to analize some anthropometric measurements and somatotype profiles of Turkish male National Flatwater Kayak Team paddlers. 11 national flatwater kayak paddlers aged between 18 and 24 (x= 21.5 ± 2.16) were measured (body height: x= 178.89 ± 6.88 cm., body weight: x= 77.4 ± 8.10 kg). The Heath-Carter Formula was used to determine the somatotype profile and body density was calculated using the equation of Durnin and Womersley, thus allowing for the calculation of body fat percentage using the Siri equation. Statistical analysis were made on computer using SPSS for Windows programme (endomorphy x=2.90 ± 0.86, mesomorphy x= 5.22 ± 1.25, ectomorphy x= 2.20 ± 0.91).
