The Selçuk Tourism and Information Technology Research Journal (STBAD) is an international, double-blind peer-reviewed, and fully open-access scientific journal published biannually (in June and December) by Selçuk University.

Established in 2022, our journal primarily focuses on scientific studies examining the impacts of technology on the hospitality and tourism industries. While research addressing the relationship between information technology and tourism is prioritized in our publication process, high-quality studies contributing to various other topics within the field of tourism are also considered for evaluation. Aiming to build a strong bridge between academia and the tourism sector, the fundamental goal of our journal is to contribute to the scientific body of knowledge by publishing original research that strictly adheres to the principles of scientific ethics and impartiality.

Indexing and Academic Incentives: Having started its publication journey in 2022, STBAD has reached its 5th year of continuous publication as of 2026. Indexed in various international databases, our journal fully meets the criterion of "a journal indexed in other international field indexes and having completed 5 years in publication," as stipulated in the Academic Incentive Allowance Regulation of the Turkish Council of Higher Education (YÖK). Accordingly, articles published in STBAD can be evaluated and scored by researchers in the relevant category for their academic incentive applications.

Rapid Publication and Early View: Our journal attaches great importance to introducing scientific knowledge to the literature without losing its currency. For this purpose, manuscripts that are accepted after completing rigorous peer-review and editorial evaluation processes are typeset and made rapidly accessible to readers in the "Early View" section, without waiting for the publication of the relevant issue.

(Note: Our journal, which initially started its publication life with an April-October period during its establishment phase, permanently updated its publication period to June-December as of 2023 in line with institutional publication planning.)
