Author Guidelines

"Your Paper Your Way" Approach

To save authors' time and allow them to focus entirely on the scientific quality of their research, the Selçuk Tourism and Information Technology Research Journal (STBAD) adopts the "Your Paper Your Way" (Free Format) approach. There are no strict formatting templates at the initial submission stage.

Due to our strict double-blind peer review policy, you must submit your manuscript as two separate Microsoft Word files:

  1. Title Page (With Author Details)
  2. Anonymous Main Manuscript

Please use an easy-to-read standard font (e.g., Times New Roman, Calibri, or Arial) and an appropriate size (11 or 12 pt) for both files.

File 1: Title Page This file will not be sent to reviewers and must include the following:

  • The full title of the manuscript.
  • Full names, institutional affiliations, email addresses, and ORCID numbers of all authors.
  • Clear identification of the Corresponding Author.
  • Mandatory Declarations: The following declaration headings must be included at the bottom of the title page and filled with generic statements suitable for your study:
    • Acknowledgments: (e.g., Acknowledging support from institutions or individuals.)
    • Declaration of Interest Statement: (e.g., Declaring that there are no competing interests to report.)
    • AI Use Declaration: (e.g., Declaring which AI tool was used for text editing, or explicitly stating that no AI tools were used.)
    • Funding: (e.g., Specifying whether the research received any external financial support.)
    • Data Availability Statement: (e.g., Stating how the data supporting the findings can be accessed.)

File 2: Anonymous Main Manuscript This file will be sent to the reviewers and must NOT contain any author names, affiliations, or identifying information.

  • Manuscript Structure: Your manuscript must contain essential academic elements: Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion.
  • Word Limit: To ensure efficient editorial and review processes, manuscripts must not exceed a maximum of 10,000 words in total. This limit includes the abstract, keywords, main text, tables, figures, and references.
  • Tables and Figures: These should be placed seamlessly within the text where they are relevant. Tables must be provided in an editable format (not as images) to allow for typesetting adjustments during the final publication phase.

Citation and Reference Style While the document layout is flexible, all in-text citations and the reference list must strictly follow the APA (American Psychological Association) 7th Edition style to maintain scientific standardization. To enhance discoverability, it is highly requested that DOI (Digital Object Identifier) numbers are provided for all applicable references.

TR Dizin Criteria and Ethics Committee Approval In accordance with TR Dizin indexing criteria, "Ethics Committee Approval" is strictly required for all research involving human participants that necessitates data collection through surveys, interviews, focus groups, observations, or experiments.

  • The official ethics approval document must be uploaded as a separate supplementary file during the manuscript submission.
  • Information regarding the approval (name of the committee, date, and decision/issue number) must be explicitly stated in the Methodology section.
