Article Evaluation Process

Article Evaluation Process

Articles submitted to the journal system are submitted to the editorial PRELIMINARY EVALUATION process within 15 days at the latest. Manuscripts that pass the editorial preliminary review are then transferred to the FORMATIVE CONTROL stage, where compliance with our editorial guidelines is assessed. During this stage, authors may be asked for corrections, and this stage may be repeated several times. Manuscripts that pass the second stage are forwarded to at least two expert reviewers in their respective fields, depending on their nature.

Reviewers can submit their opinions on a manuscript in four ways:
- Acceptance
- Publishable after revisions (I do not need to review the revision),
- Publishable after revisions (I would like to review the revision again),
- Rejection.

If one reviewer approves and the other rejects, the manuscript is sent to a third reviewer. If the reviewer(s) request revisions after the manuscript is submitted to the reviewer(s), the relevant reports and any attachments are sent to the author(s). Revised files are always sent back to the reviewer who submitted the major revision, and that reviewer is asked to complete the article evaluation form again. This process continues until acceptance or rejection is granted. Referees who submit minor revisions may request to re-review the manuscript or select the "publish after revisions (I do not need to review the revision)" option. If one of the two reviewers rejects the manuscript, the journal editorial team may review the referee reports and decide whether to appoint a third reviewer or to return the manuscript to the author. A positive review by at least two reviewers is required for the manuscript to be published. A double-blind peer review system, in which the names of both reviewers and authors are kept confidential, is used at every stage of the manuscript review process. By submitting a manuscript to the journal, the author(s) accept the journal's peer review terms and conditions and process.

After the review process, accepted manuscripts are transferred to the editorial office's FINAL READING and LANGUAGE CHECK stages. During this stage, the manuscripts may be sent to the author for revision. After this stage is completed, the manuscripts are then transferred to the PUBLICATION PHASE by the editorial office.
