Prof. Dr. Bahri Sahin received his undergraduate degree from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Gazi University in 1977, his graduate education from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Yıldız Technical University's (YTU) Institute of Science and Technology in 1979 with a TÜBİTAK scholarship, and completed his Ph.D. in the Nuclear Energy Institute Nuclear Technology Program at Istanbul Technical University ITU) in 1985 wıth a TÜBİTAK Honorary Scholarship.
He worked as a research assistant between 1979 and 1983 and as a lecturer between 1983 and 1986 in the Department of Energy Engineering at ITU's Mechanical Engineering Department and served as Assistant Professor in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering between 1986 and 1989 and as an Associate Professor between 1989 and 1995. He has been a Professor since 1995.
Prof. Dr. Bahri Sahin served as Deputy Head of his Department between 1988 and 1999 at Yildiz Technical University, Division Head between 1992 and 2007, Head of the Department between 1999 and 2009, and Founding Dean of Faculty of YTU Naval Architecture and Maritime Department since 2009. He was also elected to the Board of Directors of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization's (UNIDO) International Center for Hydrogen Technology (ICHET) in 2010.
Prof. Dr. Bahri Sahin has conducted many international studies in the fields of thermodynamics, energy production systems, energy technologies, design and optimization of thermal systems, and energy economy. He was elected to the Turkish Academy of Science (TÜBA) as a principal member by the Scientific Board of TUBİTAK through Decision No. 212 on October 6, 2012. Prof. Dr. Bahri Sahin also served as the rector of Yildiz Technical University from 2016 to 2020 and is the current Rector of Istanbul Gelişim University.

Şükran Güzin Ilıcak Aydınalp completed her undergraduate education in 1999 in the Department of Journalism at Istanbul University's Faculty of Communication. She completed her graduate education, first in 2004 at Galatasaray University's Institute of Social Sciences in the Department of Marketing and Logistics Management, and then in 2007 at Istanbul Kültür University's Institute of Social Sciences in the Department of Communication Arts. She completed her doctorate in 2010 at Marmara University's Institute of Social Sciences in the Department of Public Relations. Having focused on topics such as brand management and museum communication in her thesis studies, Ilıcak Aydınalp earned the title of associate professor in 2015 and full professor in 2020. Having served in numerous administrative roles, and currently serving as the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Istanbul Gelişim University, Ilıcak Aydınalp has been working at Istanbul Gelişim University since 2015. Continuing her work in fields such as art, sponsorship, digital media, crisis communication, corporate identity, marketing communication, corporate social responsibility, and image management, Ilıcak Aydınalp has numerous works across different categories.

2007 Yılında Yükseköğretim Kurulu’ndan ‘Plastik Sanatlar’ dalında ‘Doçent’ ünvanı aldı.
1999 – 2012 yılları arasında KOÜ, Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi, Resim Bölümü’nde Yard. Doçent ve Doçent olarak görev yaptı. Resim Bölüm Başkanlığı ve Dekan yardımcılığı görevlerinde bulundu. Fakülte Yönetim Kurulu ve Fakülte Kurulu üyesi olarak kurul çalışmalarına katıldı.
2012 Yılında Yalova Üniversitesi Sanat ve Tasarım Fakültesinde ‘Profesör’ olarak göreve başladı ve Fakültenin kurucu Dekanı ve Resim Bölüm Başkanı olarak görev yaptı. 18 Aralık 2017 tarihinde Dekanlıktan kendi isteği ile emekliye ayrıldı.
2018 – 2019 Yılları arasında İstanbul Altınbaş Üniversitesi ve İstanbul Arel Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakülteleri’nde DSÜ’lü öğretim üyesi olarak görev yaptı.
2019 Yılında İstanbul Gelişim Üniversitesi, Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi’ne Dekan olarak atandı. Covit sürecinde kendi isteği üzerine Dekanlıktan ayrıldı ve hala aynı fakültede Grafik Tasarımı Bölümü’nde Öğretim Üyesi olarak görevine devam etmektedir.
Ellinin üzerinde uluslararası ve ulusal sempozyum ve kongrelerde sunmuş olduğu bildiriler, yayınlanmış makaleleri,kitapları ve kitaplarda bölümleri vardır.
Ayrıca Gelişim Yayınlarından dört kitabı yayınlanmıştır.
Şu ana kadar yurtiçi ve yurtdışında Resim Sanatçısı olarak 82 kişisel sergi açtı ve yüzün üzerinde karma sergilere ve yarışmalara katıldı. Toplam on ödül aldı. En son İzmir’de düzenlenen I. Ulusal Suluboya Resim Yarışmasından Devlet Resim Heykel Müzesi Özel Ödülünü aldı. Ayrıca kendi projeleri ile Kocaeli Üniversitesi’nin Umuttepe yerleşkesinde yaklaşık 1000 (bin) metrekare mozaik çalışmaları ve 100 (yüz) metrekare fresk çalışmaları gerçekleştirdi. Yağlıboyanın yanı sıra, baskı teknikleri ve suluboya çalışmaları da yapmaktadır.
Şu ana kadar yurtiçinde ve yurtdışında çok sayıda uygulamalı resim çalıştaylarına (sempozyumlara), sanat fuarlarına ve müzayedelere katıldı ve jürilerde yer aldı. 1000’in üzerinde eseri Türkiye, Avrupa ülkeleri ve Amerika Birleşik Devletleri müzeleri, galerileri ve özel koleksiyonlarında yer almaktadır. Sanatçı, halen İstanbul Gelişim Üniversitesi, Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesinde öğretim üyesi olarak çalışmakta ve resim çalışmalarını İstanbul’daki atölyesinde sürdürmektedir. Zaman zaman İngiltere ve Amerika Birleşik Devletleri’nde sanatsal araştırmalar ve resim çalışmaları yapmaktadır.

Following his undergraduate education, he began his graduate studies in Public Relations and Publicity at Istanbul University in 2013 and graduated from the aforementioned department in 2016. Res. Asst. Dr. Ayten Bengisu Cansever Bayhan is a faculty member in the Department of Visual Communication Design at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Istanbul Gelisim University. She completed her undergraduate studies in the Department of Public Relations and Publicity at the Faculty of Communication, Marmara University, graduating as the top-ranked student of her department. She also graduated with honors from the Department of Sociology (English) at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Marmara University. She received her master’s degree in Interpersonal Communication from Marmara University and her PhD in Public Relations and Publicity from Istanbul University. In addition, she completed Family Counseling training at the Continuing Education Center of Marmara University.
Her academic interests are centered on new media, visual communication, advertising, digital culture, media sociology, media psychology, and digital game studies. Her research particularly focuses on digital platforms, algorithmic mediation, visual culture, subjectivation processes, neoliberal governmentality, and the critical analysis of contemporary communication practices. In her scholarly work, she adopts an interdisciplinary perspective to examine the effects of digitalization on everyday life, identity construction, affective regimes, and communication processes.
Ceren İren, completed her undergraduate studies in 2014 at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Department of Painting. She went on to complete her master’s degree in the Basic Art and Design Program at the same university in 2017 with a thesis titled “The Insect Form in Art from the 20th Century to the Present,” and completed her PhD in Art in 2024 with a dissertation titled “The Relationship Between the Form and Behavior of Bee Societies and Art.”
She teaches Basic Art Education, Art and Design History, and Illustration. İren currently works as a research assistant at Istanbul Gelisim University, Department of Graphic Design, and continues her artistic practice in her studio in Galata.
Okan Kırbacı was born in Istanbul. He was admitted to the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema at Kocaeli University in 2014 and graduated in 2018. During his studies, he worked at various media organizations and participated in short film projects. In 2019, he began his graduate studies, and in 2020, he started working as a research assistant in the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Istanbul Gelişim University. His areas of research include communication technologies, media-society relations, new media, and short films.
Res. Asst. Eliz Mutlu Tekay completed her undergraduate studies in the Department of Interior Architecture at Anadolu University in 2018. She received her Master’s degree from the same university's Graduate School of Fine Arts in 2021, with her thesis titled "Pop-up as a design strategy and its spatial applications". Currently, she is pursuing her Proficiency in Art (PhD) in Interior Architecture at Eskişehir Technical University.
Since 2020, she has been serving as a Research Assistant in the Department of Interior Architecture at Istanbul Gelişim University, Faculty of Fine Arts. Her academic research is primarily shaped within the framework of Interior Architecture, focusing on temporary space design, consumer spaces, and dynamic spatial compositions. Specifically, her work explores pop-up spatial applications, pop-up culture, and transformative spatial strategies. Additionally, she serves as the Field Editor for ART/icle: Journal of Art and Design.

Ayşegül Akçay Kavakoğlu is an architect and associate professor in the Faculty of Architecture, Department of Landscape Architecture and Architectural Design Computing Program at ITU. Her recent research interests include the design and application of mediated environments, interactive systems, and artificial intelligence in architecture. She is a member of the ‘Technology, Ecology and Design Research Laboratory’ (TETA Lab) at ITU. She is an advisory board member at the ‘Architecture, Media, Politics, Society’ (AMPS) international, interdisciplinary research organization. She was the former Head of the Department of Architecture at Altınbaş University between 2017-2020. She was the Architectural Design Advisory Board Member at IT Valley Turkey between 2020-2022. Akçay Kavakoğlu graduated from Dokuz Eylül University with a Bachelor of Architecture degree. She has conducted her master studies at Middle East Technical University and Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’architecture de Paris-Belleville. She graduated from METU with her master thesis focused on the representation of city images in cinema. She got her Ph.D. in architecture degree from METU by researching the contribution of moving images to the computational design process. Her work also explores the intersection of architecture, technology, and pedagogy with a focus on computational design, fabric formwork, representation, and moving image studies in general. She executed several workshops and curated exhibitions. Akçay Kavakoğlu has worked on various architectural design projects and has been awarded in national architecture competitions.
Giovanni Ercolani (PhD Social Anthropology, University of Murcia, Spain; PhD Int. Rel. & Security Studies, Nottingham Trent University, UK) is a Sociocultural Anthropologist, (1) Researcher at the ‘Society and Culture’ research group (University of Murcia, Spain); (2) Researcher Associate at ‘LADEC - Laboratoire d’Anthropologie des Enjeux Contemporains’ (Université Lumière Lyon 2, France); (3) Thesis Adviser at the ‘Peace Operations Training Institute’ (USA); and (4) Fellow (elected) of the ‘Royal Anthropological Institute Great Britain and Ireland’ (UK).

Prof. Dr. Selahattin Yıldız 1962, Kırklareli doğumlu. 1985 yılında Anadolu Üniversitesi Sinema-TV Bölümü’nü tez filmi olarak çektiği “Lületaşı” belgeseli ile tamamladı. 1985-1987 arasında çeşitli video filmlerde teknik yönetmenlik, kurguculuk ve yardımcı yönetmenlik yaptı. 1986 yılında Araştırma Görevlisi olarak girdiği Marmara Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi Sinema TV Bölümü’nde 1997 yılında Doçent, 2003 yılında Profesör oldu. 1998-2005 yılları arasında Bölüm Başkanlığı yapan Yıldız, 2010 yılında Dekan Yardımcısı olarak görevde bulundu. 2012-2013 yılları arasında Maltepe Üniversitesi İletişim Fakültesi Dekanı olarak görev yapan Yıldız, 2013 yılından bu yana Maltepe Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi Dekanı olarak görev yapmaktadır. Hakemli ve hakemsiz çeşitli sinema dergilerinde yayınlanmış 47 makalesi bulunan Yıldız’ın sinema dili üzerine yazılmış “Sinematografik Anlatım” ve “Kurgunun Dili” adlı iki kitabı vardır.
Serdar Yılmaz (İzmit, 1973) Marmara Üniversitesi, Resim Öğretmenliği Bölümü mezunudur, yüksek lisans ve doktora derecelerini de yine aynı bölümden almıştır. Serdar Yılmaz’ın pek çok ulusal ve uluslararası film festivallerinde gösterilmiş ve ödüller almış filmleri bulunmaktadır. Yılmaz pek çok uzun metrajlı sinema ve belgesel filmde yapım tasarımcısı ve sanat yönetmeni olarak çalışmış ve ödüller almıştır; Gölgesizler isimli filmle 2009 Altın Koza Film Festivali’nde “En İyi Sanat Yönetmeni Ödülü”, Cenneti Beklerken isimli filmle de 2007 Altın Koza Film Festivali ve 2007 Ankara Film Festivali’nden “En İyi Sanat Yönetmeni Ödülleri” ile dönmüştür. Su Birikintisi (2015) ve Kızarmış Tavuk (2013) isimli kısa filmleri aralarında Rotterdam Film Festivali (2013), Cannes Film Festivali (2012), Brooklyn Film Festivali (2016-2012) ve Oaxaca Film Festivali’nin de bulunduğu uluslararası film festivallerinde gösterilmiştir. Fırat Arapoğlu is an art historian, critic, and independent curator based in Istanbul, where he works as an associate professor in the Department of Common Courses at Altınbaş University. He has curated numerous exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. Among the art magazines he has contributed to in Turkey and abroad are Sanat Dünyamız, Genç Sanat, Art-İst Modern & Actual, ICE, ARTAM, Art Unlimited, Eleştirel Kültür, RH+, İstanbul Art News, Artdog İstanbul, Varlık, and Flash Art. He has written articles on art and art education, presented papers at national and international symposia, and authored book chapters. He has given lectures and workshops at the Istanbul Modern Art Museum, Moda Sahnesi, Atölye Maçka, Narmanlı Art, Nazım Hikmet Cultural Center, and Istanbul Bilgi University. He is a member of the International Association of Art Critics.
Sankt Georg Avusturya Lisesi'ni 2001 senesinde bitirdikten sonra, Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi'nde Şehir ve Bölge Planlama (2005) ve Sosyoloji (Çift Anadal Programı, 2006) lisans derecelerini tamamlayan Oğuz Çevik, yüksek lisans derecesini London School of Economics and Political Science, Sosyal Politika Bölümü'nden almıştır. Berlin Teknik Üniversitesi ve İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi Çift Doktora Protokolü kapsamında göçmen kadınların kamusal alan kullanımları ve kentsel hareketlilikleri üzerine hazırladığı doktora çalışmasını 2016 senesinde tamamlamıştır. Doçentlik unvanını 2021 senesinde almıştır. Doktorasını tamamladıktan sonra akademik çalışmalarını İstanbul Beykent Üniversitesi, Endüstriyel Tasarım (İngilizce) Bölümü’nde devam ettiren Oğuz Çevik, 3 sene boyunca bölüm başkanlığı görevini yürütmüştür. Oğuz Çevik, akademik çalışmalarına Gebze Teknik Üniversitesi Şehir ve Bölge Planlama Bölümü’nde devam etmektedir. Akademik çalışmalarının tanı sıra, 5 seneyi aşkın süredir Medyascope’ta kent araştırmaları ve çalışmaları üzerine haftalık tartışma programı olan Mekân ve İnsan’ın koordinatör ve sunuculuğunu yürütmektedir. İstanbul Üniversitesi, Açık ve Uzaktan Eğitim Fakültesi Egzersiz ve Spor Bilimleri uzaktan lisans eğitimini takip eden Oğuz Çevik, şehir sosyolojisi kapsamında akademik ve bilimsel araştırmalar yapmaya, proje ve atölye çalışmaları yürütmeye devam etmektedir. Güncel araştırma konuları arasında kentsel hareketlilik, toplumsal cinsiyet, kentsel dönüşüm, dijital teknolojiler, afet, göç ve sosyal sürdürülebilirlik bulunmaktadır.
Associate Professor Dr. İlkay Yılmaz completed her undergraduate education in Engineering Sciences at Ege University and pursued her master’s and doctoral studies in the field of Food Engineering. Dr. Yılmaz currently serves as a faculty member and نائب head of the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts at Başkent University. She also holds the position of Director of the Turkish Culinary Culture Research and Application Center at the same university. Focusing her academic work on food safety, gastronomy, sustainable culinary practices, and Turkish culinary culture, Yılmaz teaches various undergraduate and graduate courses and contributes to numerous national and international scientific publications and academic studies.
Dr Murat Arapoğlu completed his undergraduate studies in the Department of Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture, Yıldız Technical University; his master’s degree in the Architecture Programme within the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Science, Haliç University; and his PhD in the History and Theory of Architecture Programme within the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Science, Yıldız Technical University. He has held various positions in the construction sector for approximately twenty years. In 2021, he began working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Architecture at Istanbul Gelişim University's Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, a position he continues to hold. His research focuses particularly on Islamic architecture, the architectural culture of Central Asia and Iran between the 10th and 12th centuries, the early Ottoman architectural tradition, and the types of spaces used by Sufi orders, notably Mevlevi lodges.
