Antibacterial Effecys of the Essential Oils of Some Plants of the Family Labiatae Growing Natually Around Şırnak-Silopi

Şırnak-Silopi Yöresinde Doğal Olarak Yetişen Labiatae Familyasına Ait Bazı Bitki Uçucu Yağlarının Antibakteriyal Etkileri

Abstract

Bu çalışmada Thymbra spicata var. spicata L., Cyclotrichium stamineum (Boiss.&Hohen.) Manden&Scheng., Teucrium polium L., Salvia russellii Bentham ve Merıtha longifolia var. calliarıtha (Stapf) Briq. bitkilerine ait uçucu yağlar, disk difüzyon metodu kullanılarak Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus cereus, Escherichia coli, Salmonella cholerasuis, Enterecoccus faecalis, Streptococcus mutans ve Sarcina lutea' ya karşı olan antibakteriyal etkileri araştırılmıştır. T. spicata var. spicata ve C. stamineum uçucu yağları S. aureus, B. cereus, £. coli ve S. cholerasuis' a karşı, S. russellii ve M. longifolia var. calliantha uçucu yağları S. aureus, B. cereus, E. coli, S. cholerasuis ve E. faecalis’ e karşı, T. polium uçucu yağı S. aureus, B. cereus, E. coli ve E. faecalis’e karşı antibakteriyal etki göstermiştir. Araştırma bitkilerine ait uçucu yağ disklerinin ve kontrol antibiyotik disklerinin (Kloramfenikol 30 |jg) birlikte yerleştirildiği S. lutea ve S. mutans bakterilerinin petri kaplarında üreme gözlenmemiştir.
