ANALYSIS AND EVALUATION OF THE UNITED KINGDOM'S AI REGULATIONS USING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE METHODS

Abstract

The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence technologies has affected all fields. This situation forces regulatory authorities to develop new policy and legal frameworks for the management of artificial intelligence systems. Accordingly, this study analyzes the UK AI regulations using natural language processing and sentiment analysis techniques. The results of the analysis show that the documents largely use neutral and directive language, contain positive statements encouraging innovation, but do not prescribe strict sanctions. Word frequency analysis and conceptual maps revealed that the regulations are built on data management, risk oversight and sectoral governance. The UK's flexible and sectoral-based model of AI regulation offers a more innovation-friendly framework, differentiating it from the risk approach of the European Union. For Turkey, there is no AI-specific legislation yet, and the UK's sector-based and innovation-incentivizing regulatory model could set a sustainable example for Turkey.
