KONTROL ODAĞININ ÇALIŞANLARIN NEZAKET VE YARDIM ETME DAVRANIŞLARINA ETKİSİ: KAMU SEKTÖRÜNDE BİR ARAŞTIRMA

Abstract

Kişilerin yaşadıklarıolayların nedenlerini nelere atfettikleri, kişisel kontrol odaklarıile ilgili olup, çalıştıklarıörgütte sergileyecekleri nezaket ve yardım etme davranışlarınıetkileyebilmektedir. Bu çalışmada çeşitli kamu kurum ve kuruluşlarında görev yapan 233 kişiye bir anket uygulanarak kişisel kontrol odakları, yardım etme ve nezaket davranışıgösterme eğilimleri ölçülmüştür. Elde edilen verilerin değerlendirilmesinde değişkenler arasıkorelasyonlar araştırılmışve ortalamalar arasıfarklar bağımsız örneklem t-testi ile incelenmiştir. Sonuçlar, çalışanların çoğunluğunun iç kontrol odaklıolduklarınıve iç kontrol odaklıbireylerin dışkontrol odaklılarla kıyaslandığında yardım etme ve nezaket davranışıgösterme eğilimlerinin daha fazla olduğunu göstermiştir.

Abstract

It is about personal locus of control to where people attribute the reasons and results of the events in their lives. This locus of control may influence the employees’ helping and courtesy behaviors within the organization. In this study, a questionnaire was delivered to 233 people working in public services to measure their locus of control, helping and courtesy behavior tendencies. Correlations between variables were searched and the differences between mediums were examined using two independent samples t-test. Results showed that most of the employees had internal locus of controls and the people with internal locus of control tended to show helping behaviors and courtesy behaviors more than those with external locus of control
