Selçuk University Journal of Studies in Turcology does not ask the authors of journal articles to transfer their copyrights to our journal. Authors (or their employers) retain the copyright of the article. Authors are only asked to agree to the publication of the article under the CC BY-NC licence. All articles published by Selçuk University Journal of Studies in Turcology are published as open access (regardless of who financially supported the research) and reuse is permitted in accordance with the terms of the CC BY-NC open access licence.
The authors own the copyright of the articles published in Selçuk University Journal of Studies in Turcology and their works are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0).

Authors are required to read the copyright agreement given below and upload a wet-ink signed copy to the journal system while uploading their work to the online system of our journal (Copyright Agreement).

By submitting the article to the journal, authors authorise the journal to publish the article and to identify itself as the original publisher.
Authors give any third party the right to freely use the article when they identify the citation details with the authors in their footnotes and bibliography.
Nothing in this licence impairs or restricts an author's right to maintain the integrity and ownership of his/her work.

Open Access

Open Access is a situation where no access restrictions are applied to online research data and the use of data is free from various restrictions. By means of Open Access facilities, everyone can access online publications free of charge. Thus, research can be disseminated in an unlimited way. This situation is very important for authors, readers and supporting institutions. The articles published in Selçuk University Journal of Studies in Turcology are published as open access under the Creative Commons Attribution-Non-Commercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) licence. Selçuk University Journal of Studies in Turcology has started to publish all academic articles under CC BY-NC 4.0 licence since 2022. Selçuk University Journal of Studies in Turcology believes that the openness of user rights and copyright ownership through licensing enables open access to work efficiently.
Selçuk University Journal of Studies in Turcology has signed the Budapest Open Access Declaration.
All articles published in our journal are published under the Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial (CC BY-NC 4.0) licence. With this licence, the articles published in the journal can be reused for non-commercial use by the author and any non-commercial organisation in accordance with the CC-BY-NC licence. However, for commercial users or commercial use, permission must be obtained from the Authors. CC BY-NC licence information is given in the articles. 
Under the CC BY-NC 4.0 licence, the following can be done freely:
• Share: Indicates that the article can be copied and redistributed in any platform or format.
• Adapt: It means to mix, transfer and build on the existing work.
The following conditions must be obeyed:
• Reference: When referencing, the rules must be followed, a link to the licence must be provided, and if there has been a change, this must be acknowledged. Even if this is done correctly, it does not imply that the licensee approves of the user and their use.
• Non-commercial: Indicates that the article is not suitable for use for commercial purposes.
• There are no additional limitations: The use of the permissions granted under the licence implies that no legal conditions or technological measures can be applied that would restrict them by law.
