Evaluation Process

Authors who submit their articles to Journal of TAM Academy for evaluation will face the following stages:

  1. Technical Review and Plagiarism Screening

Study; The journal is reviewed by the editor in terms of compliance with publication principles, academic writing rules and APA 7th edition, and examines the similarity report obtained from Turnitin. The plagiarism similarity rate is required to be less than 20%.

If the article does not meet the publication principles or is not of the expected quality, it may be rejected by the editor without the appointment of a referee. Preliminary review is completed within a maximum of 10 days.

  1. Field Editor Review

The study, which has passed the Preliminary Review and Plagiarism Screening phase, is reviewed by the relevant field editor in terms of academic language-style, research method and the result reached. This review will be completed in a maximum of 15 days.

  1. Referee Process

The study, which has passed the review of the field editor, is submitted to the evaluation of two referees who are experts on the subject and have at least doctorate title. The arbitration process is carried out in secrecy in accordance with the principle of double-blind arbitration.

The field editor maintains confidentiality and ensures mutual communication between the author and the referee. The referee process is completed within a maximum of 3 months.

If both of the referee reports are positive, the study is submitted to the Editorial Board with a proposal to evaluate its publication. If one of the two referees has a negative opinion, the study is sent to a third referee. Studies can be published with the positive decision of at least two referees.

Translated articles are sent to language and related field experts to be evaluated in terms of conformity with the original, appropriate use of field concepts and language. Translations in which experts have negative opinions are not published. The publication of the book and symposium evaluations and the articles adapted from the thesis is decided after the evaluation of the relevant field editors.

  1. Revision Phase

If the referees request a revision in the article they have reviewed, the relevant article is re-sent to the author and he is asked to revise his study. The revision is expected to be completed within a maximum of 15 days. However, this period may take up to 1 month depending on the intensity of the corrections.

The author either marks the edits on the article or submits it to the field editor in a separate document.
