The Turkish Geographical Review is the scholarly journal of the Turkish Geographical Society, established in 1943 to disseminate the scientific research of Turkish geographers to the international scientific community. The journal was published intermittently and occasionally constantly until 1976. After this date, it was not published for a period of 18 years. The Turkish Geographical Review resumed publishing in 1992. Since 1999, it has evolved into a peer-reviewed journal and now publishes biannually. Since 2009, the Turkish Geographical Society has chosen to release the Turkish Geographical Review as an electronic publication. Publications occur in June and December.
National and international indexes in which Turkish Geographical Review is indexed TÜBİTAK ULAKBIM (TR Index), Index Copernicus, Google Scholar, Journal Seek, ASOS Index, Sobiad. TGR has also begin to be indexed in the ICI Journals Master List database since 2020.
