Optik Nörit Takibinde Nöromiyelitis Optika

Abstract

Nöromiyelitis optika (NMO), optik sinirler ve spinal kordu hedef alan santral sinir sisteminin nadir görülen demiyelinizan hastalıklarından biridir. Tanısı, Wingerchuck kritelerine göre konulur. Biz de yedi yıl sonra çok sayıda optik nörit atağı geçirdikten sonra NMO tanısı alan 16 yaşında erkek bir hastayı sunduk. NMO; optik nörit ile başvuran olgularda akılda tutulması gereken bir tanıdır.

Optik Nörit Takibinde Nöromiyelitis Optika Neuromyelitis Optica in the Follow-Up of Optic Neuritis

Abstract

Neuromyelitis optica (NMO), is a rare demyelinating disorder of the central nervous system that preferentially targets the optic nerves and the spinal cord. The diagnosis is made using Wingerchuck’s criteria. We report the case of a 16-yearold male patient who received an NMO diagnosis seven years later, after several attacks of optic neuritis. The NMO diagnosis should be kept in mind in patients presenting with optic neuritis
