Notes For Reviewers

Reviewers should read the "Author Guidelines" and "Ethical Principles" before starting the evaluation of the manuscript and sending opinions to Editor.

After evaluation, the “Reviewer Evaluation Form” should be filled carefully and the personal report should be written in detail in "Note to Author" (or "Note to Editor" if preferred) section at the end of form. At the beginning of report; summary, goal of the study should be written in a few sentences and the result obtained in the frame of the study should be summarized. By following this scheme, it will be a good start to write a report. This serves the dual purpose of reminding the Editor of the details of study and reassuring the author and editor that reviewer has understood the manuscript.

Although Author states, the reviewer can also suggest a new paper type (e.g.; Research, Review, Technical Note, Letter to the Editor, Discussion, Correction) from the "Paper Type" section at the beginning of evaluation form after examining the study. General statements that do not include detail reviews and scientific comments specific to the study, cannot be considered as a proper evaluation and refereeing statue is dropped. In the evaluation, the strengths and weaknesses of the study, data quality, methods and techniques used, quality of the figures, tables, conclusion and interpretation sections should be all taken into consideration, including the parts that need to be corrected. The reviewer can upload additional files to system to be forwarded to the author(s). Reason for rejection of the manuscript should be explained in accordance with scientific language standards.

The plagiarism report is already uploaded to system by the author. If the reviewer wishes, she/he can also make supplementary check, and in case of a different development, the situation can be reported to Editor.

The word file sent to reviewers is the referee version. In this version, reviewers are not apprised of the authors’ names or institutions in the submitted manuscript, and authors are not identified to reviewers in accordance with the double blind peer review policy.

Filling the "Note to Editor" window is optional and not mandatory. Therefore, please do not copy-paste what you have written in "Note to Author" window. "Note to Editor" section should only be used to inform the Editor, if necessary.
