FOTOSENTEZ KONUSUNUN İŞLENİŞİNİN BELLİ KRİTERLERE GÖRE DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Abstract

Bu çalışma, Trabzon ili ve bazı ilçe merkezlerindeki liselerde okutulmakta olan ve Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı tarafından önerilen (MEB, 2001) Biyoloji ders kitabındaki “Fotosentez” konusunun sunulma biçiminin öğretmenler ve alan uzmanlarının görüşleri doğrultusunda değerlendirilmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın başlangıç aşamasında, KTÜ Fatih Eğitim Fakültesi lisansüstü programlarında yer alan “Konu Alanı Ders Müfredatının ncelenmesi” dersinde “Fotosentez” konusunda içerik, bilimsel bilgi, görsel materyallerin durumu gibi alanlarda incelemeler yapılmış ve çeşitli eksikliklerin bulunduğu araştırmacılar tarafından belirlenmiştir. Daha sonra fotosentez konusunu anlatan deneyimli 10 öğretmen ile yarı yapılandırılmış mülâkatlar yürütülmüştür. Mülâkatlardan elde edilen verilere bağlı olarak bir anket formu geliştirilerek derslerinde bu kitabı kullanan 50 biyoloji öğretmenine uygulanmıştır. Bunun yanında ders kitabının ilgili bölümü alanda uzman 4 öğretim üyesine incelettirilerek görüşleri tespit edilmiştir. Elde edilen verilerin analizinden “Fotosentez” konusunun ders kitabındaki yerinin uygun olmadığı ve bazı bilimsel hataların bulunduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Sonuçlara bağlı olarak bazı önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

EVALUATING PHOTOSYNTHESIS TOPIC IN BIOLOGY TEXTBOOKS

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine presentation of photosynthesis topic in Biology Textbook, advised by MEB (2001) to teachers and used in secondary schools in the region of Trabzon. This examination was done in direction with the teachers and specialists. To reach this aim, at the beginning of the research the textbook were analyzed in terms of content, scientific knowledge and visual materials by researchers and several mistakes were found in it. And then, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 10 experienced teachers In accordance with the data from the interviews, survey items were developed and the survey was applied to 50 Biology teachers. Besides this treatment, photosynthesis topic in Biology Textbook got specialists examined and wanted them to say if the topic in the textbook are suitable or not and determine scientific errors. The results showed that this topic was not put into the suitable place in the textbook and several scientific mistakes contained in it. According to the results, some suggestions were made.
