ÜSTÜN YETENEKLİLERİN FEN BİLİMLERİ ÖĞRETMENLERİNE YÖNELİK BİR HİZMET İÇİ EĞİTİM UYGULAMA VE DEĞERLENDİRME ÇALIŞMASI

Year 2005, Volume: 3 Issue: 3, 271 - 296, 01.09.2005

Abstract

Buradan hareketle, uygulanan HE seminerinin katılımcı öğretmenlere bilişsel alanın yanı sıra duyuşsal açıdan da katkı sağladığı söylenebilir. Bu alanda hazırlanacak olan hizmet içi eğitim seminerlerinin plânlanmasında, branş farklılığı, akademik alt yapı, ihtiyaç belirleme, öğretim metotları gibi faktörlere gereken önemin verilmesi hizmet içi eğitim seminerlerinin verimini arttıracaktır.

AN IN-SERVICE EDUCATION PRACTICE FOR THE EDUCATION OF SCIENCE TEACHERS OF GIFTED CHILDREN

Year 2005, Volume: 3 Issue: 3, 271 - 296, 01.09.2005

Abstract

In this study, a case study approach was used. In this content, we have studied individually and this method presented us an opportunity to investigate one aspect of the research problem in some depth and within a limited time scale. The in-service education seminar has been given to six science teachers for 28 hours in Bayburt science art centers (SAC) and evaluation has been made by using formative procedures. Data were gathered with the help of Seminar evaluation survey (SES), attitude and achievement tests applied to the gifted children’s science teachers. Science teachers’ knowledge before and after the seminar was assessed. It was observed that while science teachers have low score at the first application, they have more score at the last application. These applications occur between meaningful variation (z = 2,7, p < .05). According to the attitude test results, positive change in attitudes of participant teachers were observed. It means that this seminar contributed to participant teachers’ emotional field. For the success of the other in-service seminars of science teachers of gifted children, it is recommended that academic support and application process should be paid more attention.
