Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı; matematik öğretmenlerinin, öğrencilerin öğrenme stillerine uygun bir öğretimi hangi düzeyde uyguladıklarını tespit etmektir. Araştırmada, öncelikle 4MAT modelindeki her bir öğrenme stiline ait özellikler belirlenmiştir. Bu özelliklerden, öğretmenlerin öğrencilerin öğrenme stillerine uygun öğretimi hangi düzeyde yaptıklarını tespit etmek amacıyla bir ölçek geliştirilmiştir. Bu ölçek Ankara merkez ilçelerdeki 8 resmî genel lisenin 500 onuncu sınıf öğrencisine uygulanmıştır. Sonuç olarak; matematik öğretmenlerinin öğrencilerin öğrenme stillerini çok fazla dikkate almadıkları tespit edilmiştir.

MATHEMATICS INSTRUCTION BASED ON LEARNING STYLES

Abstract

This study aims to determine at which level mathematics teachers conduct teaching suitable for learning styles of students. In the study, firstly, characteristics of each learning styles at 4 MAT model was determined. Using these characteristics, a scale for the above mentioned purpose was developed. The scale was administered on 500 students of tenth grade from eight high schools in Ankara. As a result, it was seen that mathematics teachers had little attention to students’ learning styles.
