Problems and suggestions about operating room education in Otorhinolaryngology; Trainees and Trainers are talking

Abstract

The operating room environment is the most important area in which graduate/postgraduate surgical training takes place and it is necessary for a successful graduate education program in surgery. However, in our country, graduate students are faced with a traditional apprenticeship model rather than following a program that is structured in accordance with their goals in operating room education. In this paper, we summarize the speeches which also has been edited at “41. National Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery Congress” problems and suggestions in educational environment in the operating room. Problems in otolaryngology residency programs and possible solution suggestions were expressed by tranees and trainers.
